I got a Sanyo Xacti HD1010...Do you have to convert the MPEG-4 footage before import it into iMovie '09? Thanks

The file is already in MP4 when you transfer to the computer, not sure if HD1010 is the same, but can't see why it would be different.

too pricey for 600 (no 5.1 sound, no hard drive) i would just get the 720p for $400 less i could use that $400 to get a nice stand alone camera.

it was 350 pounds here in the uk, anything here with a hard drive, hd and 5.1 doesn't come cheaper then 1000 and since I don't do many videos anyway, I don't mind.
