For anyone wondering, Sonic runs faster than Shadow, but Shadow would win in a race and a battle for two reasons. The first is Shadow's air shoes make him move faster than Sonic. The second is Shadow doesn't need a chaos emerald or a fake one to use chaos control. However his chaos powers are greater with every emerald he collects.

This is why Sonic is still known as the fastest hedgehog.

sonic could have won easily. shadow could teleport to the finish line, but sonic would just do a sonic boom and get there before shadow would even have a chance to teleport half way there :P so yeah, that's why sonic won.

Impossible.

Even if Sonic used a Sonic Boom, Shadow would still have beaten him with Chaos Control.

Chaos Control warps the fabric of space and time. Sonic would move at a snails pace compared to Shadow no matter how fast Sonic goes. Only someone who could use Chaos Control themselves could counter it.

Mind you im just guessing that Shadow wasn't allowed to Chaos Control directly to it :P Bit unfair to Sonic really.

Ah, but however Sonic and a few other people Require a Chaos Emerald to use Chaos Control. And they can only use it once then they have great exhaustion.

Shadow, however, Does not require an emerald as he has the Inate ability of Chaos Control.

And no matter how fast the speed of light is, If time is stopped with Chaos Control, then Sonic would be moving about the speed of an olympic runner at best. And also, The Games hold the truth. Not the Comics.

@rex3000vx3 Wrong. In Shadow the hedgehog Shadow has to chaos control his way to Black Doom without any Chaos Emerald. Also in SA2 when Sonic and Shadow fight on the Ark, Shadow doesn't have any emeralds with him. In Sonic 2006, Shadow does chaos control in his opening movie without any emeralds. In Sonic Battle Shadow has a bunch of moves that use the power of chaos control even when Emerl has all the emeralds.

Chaos Control actually does not teleport him.

When Chaos control is activated, Shadow runs to wherever he wants to "Teleport" if you like. Shadow states:"I have the ability to warp time and space."

In the Sonic Next Gen game on 360.

When he uses Chaos Control, he creates a rift in space and because Shadow moves so fast, it can't keep up with him.

So when Shadow uses Chaos Control, because the Universe can't locate him, it removes him just by creating a white flash which is refered to Teleporting, then when Shadow is done using Chaos Control, the Universe locates him again and re-enters him in by Reversing the process in the beggining. Create a white flash, and then Shadow appears.

The reason the universe cant find him is because of Force and Gravitational Pull.

are you seriouse. first of all you realize shadow teliported twice already in the race.and no shadow used chaos control cuz he needed to travel through time he's not that strong in using it.and in sonic 06 you could teliport. when your in chaos mode do the homing attack when there are alot of enemies nere by and he'll teliport to them. also in the beginning of shadow's game. even if you don't have an emerald yet your chaos control guage still goes up. in sonic x shadow even teliports. so HAA
