I was born in 1953. Around the age of 6yrs.old, I wanted to be just like RJE. My father used to take me under his black trench coat into the Ash Grove to sit front row and see my idol. Dad even took me in the crowded little room in back where I could meet and listen as Jack would warm up for his performance. The last time I saw Jack was at his first performance at the Ash Grove just after someone had permanently borrowed his D-28. I hope to see him again, I live Portland, Oregon.
Thanks for this. Another great document, Aiyana. Really loved your documentary too. Keep the cameras rollin'! Congratulations to Jack on his Emmy win. Well deserved, indeed. My best to both of you.
Aiyana thanks for this. Very cool to see your Papa in the studio. Have you ever thought about putting together a DVD release of his old TV show appearances and other live footage. It would be very cool to see such a thing! Thanks again.
just right, aiyana! jack came out to see me last fall (08) & had the demo of this cd, & it was brilliant to have him in front of a good band!! loved it the first time i heard it!!! ~he raises the bar once more!!!
