Usually comments like this I can just blow off as pure ignorance and stupidity and not respond to at all, but yours takes the cake. Gain a little perspective on something called a haircut.....You don't know anything about me as a parent. My daughters are independent, strong, smart young women. They will get a good laugh over your words for sure. Oh and by the way, they are 10 and 12 they have plenty of years to grow long hair.
@yoliebean Ah, but if I was as wrong as you claim I am, why did my comment evoke such an embittered and angry response? I simply find it a shame how many parents repress the individuality of their children.
So you can comment whatever you like without knowing a thing about me and I'm not allowed a response equally as angry and embittered? Just amazing what people will say. Repress? Strong word to describe getting their haircut. I've learned a real valuable lesson from people like you.....never comment or judge something you know nothing about. You will never know the back story of why they cut their hair and donated it, and you don't deserve to know.
They donated beautiful hair to a good cause! Someone is going to receive a beautiful wig to help them feel better while they go through their cancer treatments. Good job mom!!
Their "ropes" were ver, very beautiful. They don't look happy about getting it cut so short, and this is more than understandable. It will take years until their gorgoeus manes are grown back ...
When it is so beautiful, girls should be allowed too keep their long hair and be proud of it, not be made to cut it short.
Only being 10 and 12 they have "years" to grow it back. You totally misunderstand....I would never force my children to cut their hair. They made the choice to finally do it. They weren't unhappy just a little nervous because I was filming them.
They are both so beautiful and what an amazing thing for them to do!!!! Somewhere someone is more complete because they gave a part of them away....full circle i say!!
Its so nice to hear about the good kids out there and how unselfish they are. You have such a wonderful family. Thanks for sharing this special moment. Hugs, Mary Ann
I would have cut off both these girls ponytails above where they were tied at the top of their necks. They would look really good with nice short cuts.
Three cheers Matty and Shelly!! I'm so proud ;) that's a huge change but what a wonderful thing to do. Just think of the person who will be so thankful and beautiful to have a beautiful hairpiece while they go through chemo!!
What a beautiful thing you girls are doing! But I can't say that I am all that surprised with you for their mother, you have such a kind spirit that shines through your videos, so I can only imagine how you must be as a mom, friend, wife, etc. tfs and God Bless your daughters for being so amazing!
Ahhhh, what a nice gesture. I liked both of the looks but the ease of a short dooo would be the decision maker. And just think of all the money you will save on shampoo.
Yolanda, This video made me teary-eyed. I got sick, and lost about 3/4th's of my hair, and it took about 2 years to grow back, thankfully but during that, I was taught empathy for those people who have no chance of their hair growing back, and what your beautiful daughters just did for some lucky people is awesome. You should be so proud, and we all know you are! What beautiful, thick hair they have!! Thank you for teaching them somthing so important!
Girls, I am so Proud of You!! You will make someone who is fighting a terrible disease so happy! Your hair will grow back and it is still long by most standards. Another little girl or woman, will look into the mirror and smile back again, because of You!! You have truly made a difference, and that is more than most can say. You will never be sorry, and I believe you will benefit tenfold from your acts of Kindness!! Hugs Patti
OM Goodness Yollie! Your girls are growing up to be as kind as you! What an awesome bunch of sweeties you all are! So thoughtful girls. $1$1$11$1$1$1$1$1 ( mom will explain)!
Yay! I love to cut and send in donations to LOL. It truly helps kids who have no, or spotty patches of hair due to alopecia, and sometimes chemo for cancer. I'm proud of your girls...this is a big sacrifice for a lot of girls. : D xoxo Joan
Yollie you are such a good women and mommy! Teaching your girls this beautiful lesson in giving is a blessing to them as well as the children who will now have gorgeous pony tails o their own now! well done girls!!!! God Bless
I shed a tear or two watching this. What a wonderful thing for those beautiful girls to do and their new styles are so cute. Congratulations to all of you.
Wow girls what a generous and heartfelt thing to do! Your new hair styles are fab!! When I was really young (going into Grade 7) I cut my long long hair too but I cut mine really short that was too dramatic lol! I wish they had locksoflove then. Your mom must be super proud of you! TFS!
You must be so proud of your girls! I AM! I've also donated my hair to Locks of Love. The wigs really do make the children feel healthier. You're a great mom, my dear Ms. Bean! Sharon :D
This was awesome to see. My mother (64) shaved her head for cancer a couple of years ago... just blew me away. Oh to have hair that thick again would be fantastic. btw you have to sweeties their. Take care girl
Such wonderful young women! They demonstrated what kindness and caring are all about! Beautiful. Thank you for reminding us all how to be good souls on earth.
I loved their long hair but love the new style. Thanks so much for donating, I have had several family members who lost their hair during chemo and would have loved to have had some of that hair!!!!
Wow, Yolie what beautiful girls you have both inside and out!! The apples didn't fall far from the tree:) You must be so very proud of them! What a wonderful thing to do!

I love to hear stories like this!!! My 10 yr old daughter did the same thing two years ago. She donated 17 inches of hair to Locks of Love. What a special gift your girls just did to help someone feel better! Way to go girls!!! Keep growing it and donating it! Big Hugs.
Awesome! Good job brave girls. I couldnt do it myself, but totally have the highest respect for the people who do. My son donated 15 inches of his hair 3 years ago. He was 16 then. It was more traumatic for my Husband & me. LoL! We took pictures, too. But its a blessing for someone out there.
I think this is one of the greatest things someone can do to help. Kuddos to your daughters for their kindness that this will provide someone that has to go through so much.
