It's a wonder how much of past history even the most educated individuals do not know. Most of these lines point to mountain peaks and surveying points (best seen here at 4:46) which is where the carvings are meant to be viewed from.
Up close the lines are not perfect, far from it, but from a distance they look precice. :o)

What really blows my mind is the fact that many of the so-called air strips were made on flattened or missing summits of the mountains. What happened to the summits? Ancient civilizations couldn't have sliced them off that clean and flat. There is no debris anywhere around them. They could make the lines, but not just make the top of a mountain disappear! So amazing. Then what were the lines? The ufo's we know about don't need runways. Very mysterious indeed and amazing to think about.

man, we either lost a piece of ancient history, or its being purposely with-held...
some of thoes were obviously 'air strips'... look at our modern day airports and tell me they dont share a resemblence..
not to mention just about all thoes 'animals' and such can only be truely identified from an 'above' view point...

@survival12345 why would they build so many airstrips next to each other, and take the top of mountains off just for such, doesnt make sense them being airstrips, now if we are to presume some were dig trenches looking for rare minerals, that would make more sense.

@magnusalexa yea it probally was some kind of mining operation, because nazca is still an area with large amounts of various rare minerals.. still amazing.. the tops of mountains completely 'removed' with strange shapes left.. im just sayn the closest thing they look like is an airport with all the taxi-ways and such + i thought the stones were 'glazed' like had been blasted with great heat..? or it could be whats left of a mining operation.. or something else..? it has been along time...

It`s one thing to consider the lines on the flat plains, but what about those carved figuress on the side of bare mountains such as 2:09 or 2:15? It`s hard to picture a human with primitive tools hanging on the side of a mountain to carve that.

Aliens probably made contact with them at some point they like did throughout the world thousands of years ago. They took some 'up' and later the people made/built offerings to the Aliens to get them to come back.

I personally flew over the Nazca Line...is something to thing about it....history says that Nazca and Paracas culture did that...I personally don't know, I question the fact that all this perfects lines were created by humans....because so perfects and as big as a footballl stadium...in a area where there is sometimes a 40 to 60 miles win capable to cover even the highway that crossing the field....but this lines....something to think about it....
