Ive always been more of a fan of Tiff Needell considering he has been racing professionally before becoming a motoring journalist. He can truly give an accurate review of a vehicle and push it far more than most of us can even get close to. When someone like Jeremy Clarkson on the other hand gives a review about the handling of a car, I just roll my eyes. Jeremy Clarkson needs to be coached on his driving and therefore shouldn't speak of the limits of such a car. He just doesnt have the skill.

Tiff has an elegant skill in being able to manage a beast like the Apollo, and he picks up on the car's nuances very quickly. All the while he's performing some pretty articulate narration. I can't imagine it's easy to try the two at the same time.

I'm sorry but its absolutely hideous, as are all Gumperts. If you're one of the people you have bought one....well, did you actually look at it? It's a track car and that's where it should stay. Preferably with one of those pre-production masks on like you see at the Nurburgring, so you don't have to see what it actually looks like. This and the Porsche Panamera are enough to make small children cry - both from Germany (no irony intended).

The fact is fifth gear sprouted from top gear when the latter show was cancelled in 2001. People say "Top Gear is better" "Fifth gear is better", but both shows have different purposes than each other. Top gear is for entertainment with Jeremy's humor and such, while Fifth gear is more for real reviews on the cars done by actual RACING DRIVERS like Tiff and Jason.

Tiff Needell was a co-host for Top Gear from 1987 until 2001 when Top Gear was canceled. After Top Gear was canceled, Tiff as well as most of the Top Gear crew created Fifth Gear. To this day I believe Tiff still writes for Top Gear Magazine. The shows are similar, and they do review the same cars, however I feel the differences between the shows complement each other, and both are very entertaining.
