Must be 20 degree weather / negative 2000 DA. I've seen some crazy unusual feats in favorable conditions, but the Vette guys really know how to exploit them.

About 2 weeks ago I saw a stock 2012 GT500 run 10.97s @ atco, LOL.

@westy44cal Yeah, 16inch mickey thompsons. There is a 2011 running low 11s@122 with bigs and littles but that was nearly at sea level.

This one ran a 10.97@124.xxmph at atco in great conditions.

@svt11111 Wow. Well isn't Atco just about at sea level too? I ran all my best ET's there even having to ride through the stupid water box. I can't believe a 10.97 was done with only a DR. That's a great number for a stock C6Z. I wonder what the new 600hp 2013 GT500 will run?

The best bolt on C6ZO6 did 137MPH. That's crazy too..

@westy44cal On that day I believe the DA was around -1200, lol. The thing is, as impressive as these times are they can not be duplicated at average tracks in average conditions.

and yeah, I agree, C6Zs are animals. Knocking on 9s with no internal modifications, N/A is just beyond fucking ridiculous.

@svt11111 I agree. The great thing is I live near Atco,Englishtown, Cecil County Drag way and MIR. Probably the best/fastest tracks in the country so I consider myself lucky when I was racing. What's amazing is that this C6Z pulled that ET at a track different from where the usual records are made. It seems the track rental at MIR is where the Vette guys push the limits without getting the boot. I remember being at Atco a few yrs ago and a guy with a portable weather station said da was -2500LOL
