No, nothing like that. For example, instead of selecting "fade out", there is a process called keyframing that gives you same effect by changing opacity overtime. It's a little more complicated, but it gives you a LOT more control!

Iteresting... what does opacity mean? XD I have a large vocabulary, that is not in it.

Opacity is the opposite transparency, so if it's at 100, you can see your clip, if it's at 0, you see the default black background. Now, you can set the key frames to go from one percentage to annother, giving the feel of a fade out effect. Now combine that with about four hundred other base settings you can modify, you have a LOT of options.
