I was driving between Rockport and Port Oconnor, and was pleasantly surprised, and happy to stumble apon the Art Boat. I stopped and spent an hour enjoying the sculptures and taking pictures. I was sad the inside portion was not open. A real lil gem the art boat is.
This is so awesome, because my grandfather built that steel boat. Yes this is 100% true, and yes I'm from Seadrift/Port Lavaca. Been here all of my life. The boat itself used to sit in his yard before Dieter purchased it from him and turned it into the Artboat it is today.
