@Roderikish - You're absolutely right! My mistake and I have no idea what I was thinking about at the time but it certainly wasn't the construction date for the Chapel. I apologise and by way of a pathetic excuse, point out that it was probably the thousandth historical site we were running around in within two days.

look, i live in roslin and this is it in 5 mins, some dude built a pillar and went on holiday, his apprentice made a better one so when his dude came back he got jelous and beat him with his own chiszel.yes a painting has been found of a secret passage leading under ground but right now its blocked with a big stone cofffin thingy. hope i could be of some help. from roslin with love
