  • Does Dana call every MMA fighter a kid?

  • 2 things dana always says

    1) Realistically he is the best pound for pound fighter

    2) He is his toughest challenge yet

  • THIAGO ALVES NOW IS A DEMOLITION MAN

  • i just met GSP this past weekend in vegas at the fan expo :)

  • @tayschne JEALOUS!

  • lol alves has great takedown defense. O SO DOES ANDERSON SILVA.. fuck no. hes good but george is thee best. GSP rape silva> Silva wins by judges shitty decision

  • Good ol Dana, never miss a chance to hype.

  • I think Alves has a real chance with Silva... Well, maybe not, but would be a good fight to see, if he walks around that big...

  • where did gsp admit to cheating blow job penn got sent back home and made him rethink about ever stepping into the cage again

  • @madskillz989 you poor child

  • How do Cry Baby Jay's nuts taste?

  • Troll fail

  • wow were you wrong mr white lol

  • a lot of people would kill matt serra

  • SILVA OR MACHIDA WUD KILL "MATT SERA"

  • yea honestly i think GSP could go in the olympics and get gold then go back to mma lol that would be sick

  • who is GSP gonna next?????

  • dan hardy

  • pause at exactly 0:18 ull see wut a fagot dana is

  • LMAO

  • lmao

  • The only top WW left for GSP to fight for the time being is probably Jake Sheilds, however, I don't see that fight happening anytime soon.

  • ozzybizzle u have a demining cock! ;)

  • .............whitepower?.......i mean really white power? of all the things to name yourself? white power?...damn man

  • He calls everyone KID. Its a bit demining

  • its because dana is old. he's bald already.

  • You should cool it with the coke or the roids or whatever is fucking with you. A piece of shit, bitch like you wouldn't be able to smash a banana with a hammer. Now, I already know you are going to try some pathetic comeback that's going to make you seem something like a bitch. 20 bucks says it goes something like this, "I'm going to beat the shit out of you." So, why don't you save everybody the trouble. Kill yourself, please. You'll do the whole world a favor, maybe god'll forgive you.

  • snwboar73 that has to be one of the best comebacks ive ever heard, no joke.

  • lol how high are you man?

  • fuck you

  • GSP has nothing left to prove in the welterweight division. No welterweight in the UFC stands a chance. Alves, Fitch, Huges, Penn, Koscheck were no match for GSP. The only thing left is to move up to middleweight. Bring on Anderson Silva.

  • yeh, but GSP would be a small middleweight and Silva would be a very big one! Although I'd love to see GSP win coz he's my fave fighter in MMA, It would be very very very tough for him!

  • That stupid it like saying that heavyweight can beat light heavywieght midleweight and etc... that true you actuly fell alot less comfortable if you loose weight ( it also harder to do ) then if you gain it... if you gain weight it doesnt make much diffrent your the same guy whit just more muscle. While if you take it off you will fell skinny and powerless

  • Have you ever made weight for a sport?.Ask any wrestler, boxer, etc. They'll all tell you it's easier to drop weight than to gain it properly. By properly, I mean putting on lean muscle and not just adding fat to make a higher weight like some fighters do. Not to mention adding muscle like that can change your cardio sometimes or your speed/reflexes in a fight until you get used to it. If a fighter feels skinny/powerless from cutting, he probably cut too much or did it wrong.

  • Cutting weight makes you feel fast and powerful. Everyone that I know who fights says that. If they struggle at a weight class, they cut to a lower one. They never go up.

  • not necessarily. i myself and other people i train with, find that cutting weight drains your energy to a degree. but really it depends on how much weight your cutting thou. cutting water, carbs and sodium from your diet hurts your body. instead of getting its energy from carbs, your body uses the next choice, muscle. your body will break down muscle tissue to a certain level in order for it to get it's engergy.

to put it simple. the less weight you have to cut, the better

  • There are keys to cutting weight. One thing is to only cut between 10 and 20 pounds. Twenty is the maximum. Train your body to cut weight by doing it several times a year whether you fight or not. The time line is also key, nearly all the weight should be lost in the 24-48hrs prior to your weigh ins. If you use proper technique to cut and replace the weight it will be all water weight, you'll come in 10-20lbs heavier than your weight class and you'll feel great.

  • i agree with most of what your saying. for every gram 1 gram of carbs you eat, your body retains 3 grams of water. hence why cutting carbs and sodium is so important. now im no nutrition expert but i am a mixed martial artist and i don't know anybody in my sport that cuts 1-2 days before a fight.

  • The proof is in the pros; GSP cuts from around 200, Forrest Griffin is somewhere around 240. Anderson Silva is supposed to be up around 215-225. The good fighters have learned if you don't cut, you come in undersized. I bet GSP outweighed Penn in that last fight by a good 15-25lbs. And weight matters.

  • great takedown defense yea how'd that go for ya thiago?

  • keep hating the best in the ufc is gsp and he will kill silva if silva doesnt fight gsp now that silva is 34 and gsp 28 if he waits like 2 more years hes gonna lose because he will be too old to fight gsp so he better fight gsp now.

  • i listen to this dude only because of his insight on who is the best in his eyes. Dana White is no slouch, for the most part he does know what he's talking about. he is well respected in this sport for a reason. he tells is how it is and as he sees it. but as for fighters, its all about who gets it done, we all know of the "David & Goliath" the "Cinderella" stories anything can happen. every fighter has a plan until he gets hit.....

  • Rewatch Dana's takes leading up to GSP's matches with Fitch, Penn and Alves. If you don't see the Hype Machine in full forward motion, then I'm not sure what to say. There's no doubt Dana has the most unique perspective of any one person associated with the UFC, but his job is to hype and get asses in those seats.

He simply oversold Thiago in this video to portray him as the biggest threat ever, which was a real stretch. MANY smart fans and MMA writers/hosts didn't give him the same chance.

  • Dana White's hype shit is amazing, but meaningless. Everything he said about Thiago was off the mark, except that Thiago would be bigger than GSP.

  • Actually, he was right on the mark...he even admitted that Tiago would have a hard time preventing GSP from taking him down, although Tiago himself has what is to be considered great takedown defense. Does that discredit Tiago? No, it gives more credit to GSP for being able to make it look so easy. Don't talk smack about shit you know nothing about.

  • I know nothing, you say? And what do you offer to "prove" that ..... a couple weak comments about Thiagos' takedown defense. Wow, you certainly put me in my place, eh? Try again.

Thiago has been taken down by almost every opponent he's faced in UFC, really. Also, until he actually beats a fully-prepared, top-tier Welter, I'd say Thiago isn't the threat that White claims his is.

  • i agree with you thiago is a very good fighter. ppl who discredit him are retarded. but ppl overlook it and see that ohh since GSP walked all over him, that makes him suck.

he's easily top WW. swick is considered one of the better WW and i personally think Thiago cut beat him easily in the 1st round.

  • pound for pound best fighter means nothing. It doesn't make sense for all practical purposes.

  • uuuuuh yes it does it means the best person regarding all weight divisions so what that guy cant be the best beacuse hes a lightweight (example) it puts everyone in competition

  • of course the best "pound for pound" fighter means something.. that means alot, if everyone agrees that GSP is the best "pound for pound" fighter in the world, that means that you can throw anyone at 170lbs at him and he will continue to crush them the way he did Alves... That just confirms that he is the best PFP fighter at 170

  • In your case, there's a better way of saying that - the best 170 pound fighter in the world.

Pound for Pound is an impractical concept. There's no saying that if he increases his pounds to 265, he will be better than brock lesnar. Or if Brock lesnar decreases his weight to 170, he won't be as good as GSP.

  • Agree that P4P means a lot. It's our only way of ever comparing guys that will never meet, scuh as GSP and Fedor, for eaxample.

P4P is ALL about accomplishments and demonstrated skills, so I like it.

  • WTF?? yes it does. it means you're the best fighter in the world

  • You are truely a omplete retard.

  • "truely", indeed.

  • alves got his ass whooped lol GSP is the best welterweight

  • alves is a beast who got taken down 10 times by GSP...haha.

  • gsp is better than anyone in his league

  • GSP pwned thiago

  • a beast who got his a ss handed to him on a silver platter, and no anderson silva isnt alot better than gsp. Gsp hasnt even lost a single round since the serra loss. If they were to fight, it would be close, decision, either could take it

  • alves is a beast

  • alves is a beast who lost all five rounds and got dropped by the best P4P

  • yah gsp is better but i think alves is a beast

  • Dana White is a wimp and should be thrown in the ring

  • Dana would destroy you in a fight. lol He boxes and works on his ground game routinely.

  • dana white is such a little pink penis head he comments on too many fights thinks hes a know it all

  • hes the fucking owner of the UFC. durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • durrrrrrrrrrr he's not at all the owner or founder. He's has been selected as a front runner chosen by Frank and Lorenzo.Fertitta, investors who founded ZUFFA- which is a sports promoting empire.

  • thx man...alott of people dont know that and talk alot of crap

  • hey and thx to you too, I thought i pushed a button with that comment.

    cheers.

  • All this talk and the hardest fight GSP had was Jon Fitch.

  • Are fighters tested for steroïds? Or any other enhancing drugs?

  • Yea, but I think Alves did roids before he started with mma, since he's so big.

  • he looks alot like he is on roids agree

  • before every fight

  • yes thye test for them before the fight, and thye get tested alot for them

  • i was readin alves he was like oh no not again not another takedown lmao

  • man he dominated thiago alves last night. takedown after takedown it was awsome.

  • GSP is one of the Greatest. (Even for me He his the Number 1)

  • Congrats G Rush SP

  • weather your a champ, or the worst fighter in the UFC, act like a champ. Respect is everything. how you see GSP thank his opponent after each fight an congratulating him, that comes from Kyokushin; discipline, honor, and respect. GSP is Canada's very best athlete.

On that note, absolutely the best regards to Alves for fighting the best of the best.

  • Time Warner Cable fucked me over from being able to see this fight

  • shut the fuck up dana. u suck at hyping up your fighters. u try too hard

  • ...when it comes to GSP its not hype its a reality...most complete MMA fighter i've ever seen

  • God damnit someone in the UFC please admit that GSP cheated on the Penn fight. I know he dominated him stand-up. Just fuckin' admit he greased up.

  • shut the fuck up you nigger you have no idea what your talking about... he absolutely embarrassed penn and he always has an excuse so shut the fuck up

  • Moron Let BJ Penn grease himself in a bath of vaseline and get GSP a fan and have him take a shower and a dry off in between rounds. He will still beat the shit out of BJ penn!

  • Shut up.

  • Yes he did grease up....BUT, it's not like BJ would of done any better. Also, it was only after the first round I believe that they spoted greasing, and thereafter, they wiped GSP down after each round.

I'll admit he did grease, but it wouldn't have changed the results. Admit the BJ got killed, not just dominated, he got annihilated. It's one thing to annihilate another fighter, it's another thing to annihilate a champion. BJ is the LW champion, act like one.

  • very tru duuude bj shud act like a champ and not a cry baby bitch

  • SEE UFC 100

    FreeTVFeeds {.} com

  • ss daggers by eickhorn for sale on the other site, there all original and have verticals with them, guys breaking up his collection.

  • fuck off slayer5835

  • Thiago will put an end to GSP

  • GsP on is way to legacy, thiago is just another step

  • Are you serious? wow, u obviously dont know mma. Thiago alves has punished people. he has an awesome standup game and a great ground game. he is training with one of the best camps in the world (American Top Team) he isnt just a stepping stone to anybody. Just ask Matt hughes, Karo, and koshcheck how much of a stepping stone he is

  • i never said thiago alves was a bad fighter but is far from being on the same level than GSP just like bj penn wasnt on his level and either jon fitch ... anyway youll just admit it after the fight... on welterweight division theres GSP and then the other and if you know your mma you should know that go learn your shit

  • no, if you know mma and actually watch it, gsp has beat beat before. Matt serra caught him before and knocked him out. thiago alves is the total package. im not saying he will win. im a fan of both guys. i would just like to see alves win because he has worked hard for years. gsp was also beat by matt hughes which thiago destroyed. all im saying is dont rule him out. i hope its a great fight

  • The first Serra fight, GSP wasn't prepared for it. He won the welterweight title the fight before, and to be a real champion, you have to experience losing. And that lost is pretty much as bad as it gets. That's probably one of the reasons why GSP is doing so well in mma right now.

Thiago is just a much much better version of Matt Serra, also taller might I add. This is going to be the biggest fight, F BJ, that fight tottally sucked because BJ did shiat that fight. This is the test.

  • Dammm!! Get those sinuses fix Dana!!

  • gsp chuck lidell and frank mir r y i love this sport

  • GSP ALL DAY !!!

  • so that just means youre never impressed when someone DOMINATES their opponent.

  • then you havnt seen any.

  • I see "lol" at the end of your sentence so i'm going to assume that your joking.

  • ... ur prediction suck .. because they dont even fight !

  • were can watch ufc 100

  • hooters

  • im try in to find out bt no news yet. if u know where the'll be showin ufc let me no !!

  • Fuck your stupid.

  • anywhere .. sport station .

  • gsp should fight andreson silva who wants to see that ??? dana hook that up

  • gsp will lose to anderson. Anderson is way to good and is bigger and stronger.

  • theres always gonna be a size difference.but i dont think its too big of a difference in this case.gsp could fight at middleweight if he wanted to.he's a huge 170.and anderson used to fight at 170 and he´d show up at the weigh in weighing 168.i think anderson would win too,but it would be a good fight.

  • lets start with Thiago Alves !

  • It's already in the works. The two each HAVE to WIN their upcoming fights to set up the superfight.

  • War GSP

  • can anybody tell me where they'll be showin ufc fights as setanta is no longer workin in britain

  • Hang on. WHAT?

  • GSP KICK ASS BEST P4P

  • This vid is infested with all the butt sore BJ Penn fans. Can't wait till GSP rapes this Alves bitch so you all can hurt some more.

  • i agree, gsp p4p 4 life

  • lol yeah dude. they're all like Vaseline vaseline! haha

  • K, GSP raped Alves and with a tore groin too! Call me God after I remove my swollen cock from your mothers asses.

  • @Napalmreaper lol in the 3rd round as well, basically he threw Alves around for 2 rounds with a tore groin and made it look easy

  • thiago alves take down defense is over rated. 1. stops a withering old mat hughes, 2. koshchek who didnt even want to take it to the ground and when he did he was fairly hurt. 3. jon fitch destroyed alves on the ground

  • Last guy I heard say that ended up calling his mommy

  • When the hell has Alves ever been 185 ....... .

  • Well if you know anything about UFC, the fighters lose a lot of water weight and don't eat before the fights so they weigh less. Thiago walks around at 185 pounds but when he gets weighed in the day before he starts to lose a like 15 or 20 pounds so he can fight at 170 not 185.

  • Thiago walks around 205 actually

  • hes a big dude. he should fight at 185 i think he'd be better physically.

  • can you really cut 15 to 20 pds in just a day? i thought that fighters cut weight over a longer period - say a week?

  • i would think over 8 weeks

  • you really are stupid.

  • You can cut alot in a day 15-20 is a big push but in a day you can easily lose at least 10, no food no water cardio training in a sweat suit. its very unhealthy and leaves you drained for the nextday. your saposed to slowly lose weight over a period f time. another way to cut weight is ifyou lift lots of weight at low reps you change to low weight and high reps its condenses your muscles and forces the air in them out, making you drop the weightthat the air expansion held.

  • how much of it can you gain back after the weigh-in (i.e. if you are fighting on the next day)? if the point of cutting weight is to have a size advantage wouldn't you want to just lose water weight coz its easier to gain back?

  • Yeah any sginificant weight lost in a week is water. The way they train, they would have to throw a huge wrench in the system to cut even more calories. They already muder it in training. I wouldn't think you could possibly cut water or carbs (carbs being the most efficient way nutrition wise to cut it down) when having such an arduous training day. Clenbuterol, winny, tren..i'm sure they're familiar with these names haha.

  • gsp stoppage 4th or 5th round

  • I think Georges says it best..."Alves bring many problems to the table, but I truly believe I have to tools to solve them" actually that was from the Fitch fight, but can apply to any of his fights GO GSP!!!

  • LOL I totally agree
