Ted Ginn Jr has to be one of the fastest players I've ever seen. Infact, the only team that could contain Ginn was Penn State. In 2004, 2005, and 2006, Ted Ginn and Troy Smith had their hands full with their rivals in Pennsylvania. However, they managed to win two out of three games, which were all close.

I agree. Although we largely contained him in '05 and '06, he did have a punt return for TD against us in '04. When we played them, I held my breath every time he touched the football.

True, that 2004 game was an interesting one, offensively we outscored them 10-7, but their defensive and special teams touchdown is what won them that game. Ironically, one of two times we scored double digits in the Shoe since joining the Big 10. Tedd Ginn and Derrick Williams have in common that they can return kickoffs and punts like nobody's business.

Ted ginn is faster than hester, but hester is more agile. Ginn ran a 4.45 at the combine with an injured foot while hester ran a 4.41 at the combine healthy. Ginn's personal best according to him is 4.22 while Hester's best is 4.32.

Doesn't make any difference, my ass! Miami has the THIRD worst defense in the league. If you honestly think that has no affect on Ginn's KR/PR ability, then you're insane.

When Devin Hester is running for those KR/PR touchdowns, he is getting blocks from a Super Bowl-quality defense. Ted Ginn, on the other hand, is getting lazy blocks from a bunch of washed up losers. Once he gets out of Miami, you'll see how good he is.

Hester ran a 4.41 at the NFL combine... Ted Ginn's personal best in the 40 is speculated to be around a 4.26 he ran a legitimate 4.28 at an OSU workout before he got injured last season. Hester on the other hand ran a 4.41 at the combine a 4.32 and a 4.38 at his Miami Proday. Which some websites average to a 4.35. Hester though supposedly ran a 4.28 a bears testing.

Really 40 time in shorts has no comparison to game speed in pads. Ginn might run around the same 40 as Hester, but after about 10 yards with football pads on, Ginn would destroy Hester and anyone else to the endzone. World Class Speed.
