  • what is the bacteria name...i didnt get it

  • awsome sitting on my seet wonderin when joo would cut off ye finger

  • Very cool... and thank you for taking the time to educate the masses in proper technique and environment. Will the seed from this graft be an F-1 hybrid?

  • Thanks a ton! I really needed to know the proper way to graft plants with each other for a project.

  • This is fascinating; I had no idea you could graft tomatoes.

What is the sterilizing liquid that the worker pours on their hands and work space?

  • This may sound like a stupid question but here goes, Will the new grafted plant carry the genetics of both plants in the seed of the fruit or is this just a life support temporary arrangement?

  • Home gardeners can have fun with tomato grafting on a small scale. Small quantities of rootstock seed and the special grafting clips are available at betterheirlooms website.

  • THANK YOU I MIGHT GET AN A+ THANKS TO THIS VIDEO!!!

  • Home gardeners can get a nice tomato grafting kit from Betterheirlooms website It includes rootstock and everything you need to grow and graft 12 plants.

  • Best video on this topic! Five star rating!

  • Have you found that RS with TMV, Tomato/Tobacco Mosaic Virus resistance, will reject the grafted scion?

  • Thanks so much for the video. Very informative. My question is timing? How old should the plants be when you graft them? Is their development retarded because of the graft? If so, how do you calculate that into the time line of planting. I live near Philadelphia and usually start my seedlings the first or second week of March for transplant close to May 1. If I graft some plants this year, should I adjust my timeline. Thanks again. Very well done.

  • @TheGregmatusky You should expect to add about a week to your timeline for planting. It takes that long for the seedlings to heal. It's probably a little too late this year to start seeds in Pa, however. betterheirlooms website has resources for home gardeners

  • @gardener247 The idea is to identify a rootstock (RS) that has vigor or disease resistance missing from the scion. This could mean using a 'modern' hybrid as a RS for an heirloom, a tomato variety bred as a RS, or even a wild eggplant species as a RS. The avrdc has developed eggplant RS for tomato and pepper; we are working on tomato RS for tomato...

  • TY....

  • I wonder if you can graft an eggplant onto a Hybrid tomato rootstock for disease resistance?

  • i grafted bamboo tree and a banana

  • how cool is that? Wow!

  • You haven't mentioned that we use an eggplant for a rootstock

  • Great video!

  • i secound that great guide

  • I wonder if you know if grafting between ceratonia (carob tree, leguminos family) and other plants from leguminose family would give any interesting result?
