Just got this game for 360. And on normal, its a pretty easy fight. Distract him with close fighting and let the mage hit him from a distance.

@RC1312Kad Normal on the 360 is equivelant to Easy on PC, and since PC is the home console for this, you're playing on easy.

where did you get the dogs? there are dogs on the corridor before but how do you get to follow you?

I received my dog in a side quest very early in the game. Castle Cousland in the kitchen.

Oh. I also noticed that this boss is super easy when you play as the tower guard and just kite the boss while tha mage kills Ogre.
