that is wonderful that your baby boy is doing great :) and truth is i was just searching on youtube at baby animals and then on the side bar i saw a baby girl from brazil with her organs outside of her body. the language was not english so i assumed it was gastroschisis. i was so touched by the little girl in brazil and was a real eye opener to see that it is not uncommon for babies to be born like this.
such a beautiful little boy :) i was unaware about babies being born with their organs on the outside until yesterday when i cried from seeing a baby on youtube with it. this video made me smile though, with the dad just stroking the little baby's head.
@elfejo15 Aww Thank you :) Yeah I didnt know about this birth defect until I was 4 mths pregnant when I recieved the devastating news about my unborn son. But not only was his intestines exposed, they were also twisted & kinked while he was still in the womb so he had to get 8 inches of his small bowels removed bc it was dead. Despite the 97 days in the nicu & 4 surgeries later, he's just like any 4 yr old boy. If you dont mind me asking, but im jst wondering why you looked up Gastroschisis
@elfejo15 ...on youtube?? The reason why im asking is bc I affliate with a support group on Facebook where moms & dads of gastro babies reach out to soon-to-be gastro moms/dads so that they have a good support system while they are going through this difficult time. I personally didnt know anyone who has went through what I was about to experience so its always nice to know that I can be there for someone who will be once where me & my fiance were 4 yrs ago. Hope to hear from you soon <3
