  • Just to let you all know, these reefs are TOPS, our fishing has never been as good and the fact that Catch and Release is strongly practiced in the area.

I would also say well done to the guys doing the layouts, you are very friendly, informative and appreciative of the fact that there were anglers fishing when the last lot of balls were placed [I am the guy from the Kayak!]

    Keep Up The Top Work

  • it looks so mysterious and beautiful

  • Great work

  • Nice vid. Thanks for taking the time.

  • I do a bit of spearfishing and I have always thought the basin was pretty shitty for it, I just found out about these reefs today and i cant wait to give it a go this weekend as my parents have a place in erowal bay so its a 2 min boat ride

  • It is enclosed waters you can't spearfish there. Jim

  • That's awesome footage, is that you diving?

Nice boat too, what horsepower is that engine?

You guys are flying at the start of the video!

They look too deep for a boats wake to break on them though.

  • This was after the deployment it was taken on the fisheries boat.

  • Do you work for the fisheries?

  • Nope just helped with a few things. Our club was involved with the current and future reefs.

  • same, i thought they were tyres or rubbish, but infact are legitimate reefs, you can see the wake of a boat break when the come over top, easy to pick when you fish that spot

  • hey mate im sorry but i live against the water where those reefs are and i fish them regualry there in about 20ft of water and at that depth a wake will not and does not break over them you need the gps co ordinates to find them and the gps co ords arnt spot on either you need to do a bit of sounding to actually find them.

  • also these " highly acclaimed " reefs arnt all that good maybe for tourists but you dont usually pick anything up worth keeping over them local knowledge and local spots are way better i know this for a fact as i have been heavily fishing the basin nearly every day of my life for over 6 yrs now.

  • hey mate.i'm moving down that way in a few months, couple of questions if u got time answering them.can u waterski in st georges?is there plenty of spots in jervis bay to pick up smaller species such as bream, whiting and flatties or would i be better fishing the basin for these species?cheers if u can answer

  • hey mate yeah you can definatly ski in the basin as i ski frequently in there with my mates.for bream whiting and flatties the basin is definatly the go. jervis bay is better for bigger species but the basin is awesome for these estuary species and they arnt all that small ive caught bream up to 35-40cm in there.

  • @MrBloodyAngry

WHY WOULD U MOVE DOWN THERE??, they dont have bulls running around the streets for u masturbate over, do the good ppl here realise that u adore seeing bulls tortured to death by gay spanish men in pink tights???

  • Great work. I have been wondering what these things look like.
