No one else, at all, who has viewed that video (posted here and to fora) has said that it was obvious that the van indicating right (at a point where you can turn in to a driveway) was 'obviously' going to turn left.
You don't indicate right and then turn left, period. And you CAN go around a vehicle indicating to turn right as you progress down the road.
Moving to the left of a right indicating vehicle to pass where there is space to do so is a normal and accepted piece of roadcraft. Vehicles do it every day on the roads; to signal one way and turn the other isn't 80% fault, its ENTIRELY the fault of the road user indicating incorrectly.
it was rather obvious wot the white van was going to do. He was going to reverse back into the side road and therefore swung out a little.
I guess lesson learnt for yourself about following distances and not to close up when a vehcle is stopping.
Both of you were at fault.

Do you cycle?

yes i cycle. Although i admit not very much on roads as i don't enjoy cycling in traffic.
The van signalled to say he is pulling to the right. Then he has swung out to position the van to reverse.
Since he was still moving i would have thought that you wouldn't have undertaken the van. Especially the fact that you are not as visible as a car.
Im not suggesting that the van driver was blameless(he was 80%) at fault. Thankfully you were ok.

Terrible, the fencing probably blocked his view that the gate was open. Doesn't excuse not looking though, especially in Cambridge.
