I lured him to one of the ruins and jumped onto his... face...? Climbed up to the head and leapt onto the roof from there.

you can also climb up its leg when ur standing on one of the ruins with a roof. Its quicker but ur more likely to miss or get blasted.

Oh, God. I had so much trouble with this prick the first time I played this game. Even after I consulted a video walkthrough, he was still hard.
I eventually beat him though, after I learned what the hell you were supposed to do, lol.
