  • where did you get this thing?

I heard in japan they can be pretty expensive

  • @fromstart2finish It's wild in malaysia

  • @devilmok Which part of Malaysia did you catch it? Don't tell me you caught it in BUkit Tinggi or Cameroon T.T I wonder if you know where they sell living beetles other than Cameroon Highlands.

  • dude I live in malaysia where do I get 1?

  • @dynastes619 in some place with beetle population u can find the beetles by tracing the light source before dawn. They are light attractive

  • @devilmok I found an Dorcus Antaeus yesterday before dawn and thnx

  • @devilmok Dude I bought a Xlytropus Gideon today the adult one

  • @dynastes619 IKEA pet safari

  • How come he doesn't fly off when you keep poking him in the face? I thought when beetles get agitated enough they usually try to take off if they can't fight off what's annoying them. Maybe these ones don't like to fly that much?

  • @shrimpluv nope, they will usually make a hissing noise they wont fly much unless they are active

  • looks like chalcosoma moellenkampi are you in the philippines???atlas could be found there...

  • i live in malaysia, atlas and chiron are common there, mollenkampi can only be found in the sabah part of malaysia

  • dude how do you pronounce Chalcosoma?

  • I found one after leaving a restaurant and and caught it with a styrofoam cup but i kept in that cup less than an hour while i went to look for something more suitable (stronger and bigger) but by the time i got back to the beetle it had escaped by cutting a hole through the cup. i don't know when i'm ever going to run into one of them again...

  • kamen rider caucasus.

  • Cool!

    How long do they live?

  • about 1-1.5 year larva stage and maximum 6 months adult beetle stage

  • ah.thats where ur wrong.the worlds strongest bug is the hercules beetle that can life waaay more than u'd think possible

  • the weight it can lift depends, its 850 times its body weight.

  • @Falza123 hercules beetle have up to 3.5 years of larvastage life but still only hv half year of adult life

  • Haha! :D Is he trying to pinch your finger? It doesnt hurt becouse its not hes jaws :) Its only made so he can battle against other males

  • That's a Caucasus. Not Atlas.

    Atlas Beetles are larger.

And their Horns are longer and straighter.

    A lesser Chalcosoma Caucasus.

  • No, thats a atlas

    atlas bettle are smaller(3-10cm)

    caucasus bettle(4-13cm)

    and caucasus means giant

it's the largest beetle in asia.

and atlas have 3 sharp point on its front horn. caucasus only hv 2.

  • you are right, but caucasus and atlas both have 3 horns just that atlas's front horn is split.

  • Its an Atlas

You can see that the middle horn does not have a small tooth in the middle

  • I know, i am saying it is!

Caucasus: small tooth on horn longer horns

Atlas: No small tooth Split horns

  • you got a atlas beetle in malaysia?!

  • i get it from my school,Johor State

  • atlas looks like a giant gentle but atually is kinda FIERCE
