Normal departure Clearance for Ryanair flight to Stansted from CoD runway 26 is as follows -
Cleared to join controlled airspace at the Bel VOR - Routing the Bel, Bravo three - Wallassey to London Stansted. climb to maintain F/L 170, further climb with Scottish to F/L 270. Cross the TMA boundary at F/L 130 or above - sqwarking (4 digit number)
Once read back is confirmed, Take off clearance calls for maintain runway heading to either 3500ft or 5 DME depending on cloud Base and usual de
@Danishdane84 - Throttles up because before take off ATC (example) will give clearance "fly runway headed maintain fl 11000 so at 2.50 the pilot has reached this altitude the ATC will then instruct the pilot to climb to a different flight level thus throttle up to reach the new altitude

"Take off is towards the city with good views of Lough Foyle, Culmore, Muff, Inishowen, Inch and Lough Swilly and down the Foyle Estuary and up towards Gweedore and Errigal." is that not the opposite way from london?
Sure is but it takes a turn left and then flies down across N.Ireland and over the Irish Sea. Direction of take off depends on which way the wind is blowing. Sometimes they take off in the Limavady direction.
wow cool take off is Derry Airport really small i liked to go to Ireland it looks really amazing btw Stansted isnt in London it gets really annyoing how people call it London Stansted when it should be just "Stansted" Airport
It is not true... I'm italian and I love Derry... I have good friends there and I was in Derry in August 2007 and last New Year's eve... There was sun (and rain and snow, of course...) I love this video!!!

Did the plane backtrack anything or did it turn directly on the runway?
