Well, fortunately, it is still around and enjoyed by Jazz enthusiasts worldwide! YOU have to pick & choose your music tastes, that's all. It's still there! Thanks for your enthusiastic comment!
@horbergus I think they are just trying to expres that they are not one who falls in with todays music, rather saying that they enjoy the older music over this generations music, so it is relavent. It is more likely for someone that age to grow up with the influence of this generations music.
I DO know. It was a very peaceful & INNOCENT time, when we were not very sophisticated, but enjoyed life & each other! Things HAVE changed & it is a tribute to you & smart to recognize that! I do think that we WERE happier without youtube, facebook, iphones, etc!

@kknig89 if you like this kind of sound as in this video, you also should check out Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman, Jack Teagarden... but they are so many lol

Wish I was alive in that era; iv always said it; everything seamed so cool; peaceful and full of grace; Jazz music makes me focus and stay alert; that sounds weird coming from a 21 centuary guy like me who listen to artist such as the BEPs and Mariah Carey; these jazz cats are the originator; advise to y'all watch, learn and have fun with this video; but I think it's really awsome how these cats made music that is still listen today. I respect jazz tremendously. I respect all music. I do though listen predominately to metal. However found myself never getting around to jazz. Now, I enjoy the sound, but one thing I've always been told about jazz is it's complexity. This doesn't sound that complex, this could be due to my lack of musical and instrumental ability and knowledge. Maybe the complexities very from jazz genre to jazz genre? I want the jazz with insane time signatures, etc. But I enjoy this a lot.
It really is, isn't it? It transcends age and is enjoyed by all! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I am glad that you enjoyed the music! How can you go wrong with these giants?
Immortal, even better than the High Society version. What I love is that only a few weeks before this broadcast, Louis blasted President Eisenhower over segregated schools in the South, causing an uproar. Ford insisted that Satchmo be dropped from the show. Bing - who produced the program - said "if Louis isn't on the show, I won't be either." Then to really get in the company's face, instead of burying Louis deep down in the lineup, he *opened the show* with this duet!!!
Thank you VERY much for contributing your vast knowledge about Louis Armstrong to my video! I would love to add your enlightened and inspirational comment to the narrative on the vodeo and ,of course, give you full credit! This is what youtube should be about--many perspectives on any given video for enlightenment! Please let me know if it is OK to add your contribution to my video narrative! I am honored that you contributed.
WOW. I have just started to educate myself in this type of music. Thank you so much for this. I think jazz is not comparable to other genres. So great!
@Packers412 Um, wouldn't you say that you think that OTHER GENRES are not comparable to JAZZ? The way you put it make you sound like you're badmouthing Jazz there, buddy. XD
Jackson is not fit to shine Crosby's golf clubs and I say that not because Jackson was a once and future African-American hermaphrodite and pederast in whiteface. Crosby promoted talented Black singers and entertainers throughout his career, and rightly so
Question. Who the hell brought up MJ? If you didn't like the man, whatever, but don't start crap about him on videos that are in no way related to him.
How do you know MJ was a hermaphrodite?? You could make a lot of money from the tabloids if you sold this story I have never heard... But you would have to explain how you knew this... :()=3
