How does this speaker compare to the Celestion G12 Century and G12 Century Vintage? I know the G12 Century is 102db sensitive and handles 80 watts and is probably the most linear speaker that Celestion makes up especially more toward 20k. I just wanted to know if you think this one is better?
I would not say it is better, it is different. I think it is a tad darker and has more definition on the pick attack or at the point of bass but all in all, It is a great speaker that throws out tone without looking or sounding out of control. The century's db level is ok, I wish it was a little lower with a little bit thicker of a cone material, this would prevent out of control feedback latching and scare off some cone cry as well.
man this is the way to go. i'm about to upgrade all my cabs with the 2515 15" version. 7oz vs 100oz?
