i went to the runway show in Lincoln center and gretchen's clothes looked cheap and not as good as Mondo's collection. thumbs up if you agree Mondo should have CLEARLY won.

Actually the exact song for Gretchen's runway is called Icarus (Project Runway Remix) by White Hinterland. It's off of their EP Eidolon. Icarus itself has lyrics, the remix is the one played in the show where there aren't any words just the pretty sounds. I would know, I searched everywhere for it haha
Gretchen's collection sort of remind you of the past Diane Von Furstenburg 'World traveller/Bohemian' style no? I think it's quite referential... While Mondo's clothes has a strong sense of identity- obviously his heritage. But yes, you can see Gretchen's clothes reaching bigger mass market, it has a more... commercial appeal? But does that justify her as a winner on Project Runway? One would say otherwise. Isn't Project Runway about innovation and creativity?

Ok so I understand that the show had 13 contestants make a collection to keep the finalists a secret but... how does the timing work? The people get eliminated and are brought back for Fashion week before the episodes air? I'm so confused, someone plz help me
by now we know that MONDO DID NOT WIN. You see this is the thing, the fashion industry is relentless in keepin in "ovouge" a certain waspy casual , mon-fire sort of aesthetic. And any influx of culture other than the said focus will not be included in the rotation of the media tred machine. MOndo's collection eas textured. and directional, the Witch's covent even included steeple hats ...imagine that. Kors' barked how gretchen created the "it girl" look, More accurately sstated the White girl.

@Gwyka To keep the finalists and the winner a secret; PR makes all the 13 contestants make a collection and show at fashion week; that way no one finds out who the finalists are before it airs on TV.

Mondo: clear winner but it is in the same category as seth arron's collection actually even mila's it just went to a Mexican direction :P
Andy: now this is the cheap one, so disappointing it look so rushed, he was my fave during the show, what happened

Michael C: The first two were good, but from there it just got strange, especially that little gold thing.
Gretchen: Boring and unflattering. Seriously, how the hell did she win?
Mondo: The clear winner of the season. How the hell did he NOT win?
April: Oddly enough, this was okay. Could've been edgier, though.
Andy: Am I the only one who openly hates his collection? Seriously, his was just ugly, cheap-looking and unflattering.

Michael D: Not offensive or anything like that, but not distinguished. Plus the styling was bad.
Valerie: Had some cool pieces, but others looked like craft projects gone wrong.
Christopher: Clean, crisp, commercial. He stuck to his vision, which is admirable.
Casanova: Had some okay pieces, but a lot of it was either matronly or just crazy. He still hasn't found that happy medium.
Ivy: Not bad, but still not innovative enough.
