Being an american isn't defined by your political ideology. This country has always had internal political divides. We're not a country of one ideology or way of thinking. That's the whole point. A country where everyone agreed on everything wouldn't be something to be proud of.

You may not agree with them, but you cannot revoke their citizenship. That's the easy way out: just saying that they have no argument whatsoever and dismissing them all with the vague title of "anti-american". You are no more american than them, and they you.

I'm sure someone more liberal than you would respond to your claims regarding god, the war, the administration, etc. The debate could go on and on... as it has been on a national stage for quite some time now.

@1ThinkingMachine That's the whole point of it. It's political discourse. Democrats are critical of some things the US government is / has been doing. I'm sure that you are also just as critical regarding other actions of the government. Their critiques are just as essential to the political process as yours are. Their critiques are not "anti-american". If your best friend got involved in things you thought might hurt them, you would let them know. This doesn't mean you don't love them.

You do it out of love for the america, as do democrats. Just because you disagree with their critiques doesn't mean you can say their motivations are "anti-american".
