packet tracer is limited. limited to CCNA level topics. Anything over CCNA, you must either buy real equipment or use GNS3. In my case I use GNS3 for the routers, 3550's for the switches and tie them both together using GNS3. Thats what makes GNS3 far superior to any other router emulator/simulator.
how much memory does GNS3 use? i heard that it uses a lot , specially on windows systems

@70rm3n70r It's fairly good actually as long as you use the Idle PC values and also IOS ghosting.
