These look pretty creepy when you examine them up close. I know it would be really cool to say that you own some retired classic Disney animatronics, but who would want these in their house!? I wounder who bought them.
I remember back when I went on the haunted mansion ride. The scene with the dancing spirits was simply amazing! And the part when one the hitchhiking ghosts appeared to sit next to me really took me by surprise! It was truly a wonderful experience!
BOO!!!! HISS!!! Disney SHOULD NOT be auctioning these. They should've NEVER replaced this classic illusion with that CHEESY, POORLY-CRAFTED animation/photo sales-op-in-disguise. TDO is RUINING WDW's Haunted Mansion. This is what happens when marketing execs do jobs that require real, experienced and sophisticated artists and storytellers. WHAT A SHAME!
@TheHatboxGhost Couldn't have said it better myself. I just hope Guillmo Del Toro is the one to get these. Maybe he'll insist they be put back after the movie is a success... Or not. But I can dream.
@DisturbedGuest i think they will be in the new version. after the somewhat disaster of the original attempt, maybe they will listen to the fans this time around and the creators of the attraction.
It's cool to see them finally follow someone home, but then again it's also kind of sad when you think about it. Just the fact that this was one of WDW's best tricks borrowed from Disneyland and just the fact that they're giving them away just for the sake of new technology but I digress.
i think those are the old hitchhiking ghosts that appeared to be seated with you and where placed behind mirrors, now that WDW's haunted mansion doesn't use that system anymore, this are the ones they are auctoning.
@InsideTheMagic These figures should be at work inside The Haunted Mansion. TDO is replacing real magic with CGI images that are of poorer quality than what is found in a standard video game. They ought to have their heads examined -- on their way out the door to their new jobs at Chuck E. Cheese!
0:01 are they eyes following me?

@MovinRightAlong91 No one does. They contain hazardous materials and should not be brought into a home.

The Mickey behind them is cute. Looks like Steamboat Willie but what was it supposed to be? Also what was the Alice thing behind them?

@omcgh That's correct! There were several sets of these running around a carousel behind those mirrors. The rest are... still somewhere at Disney.

Concidering how the Hatbox Ghost will be an important character in the Del Toro Movie, I'm sure that they'll do something to remember them too.
