Just bought Iconoclast a few days, it got delayed here in Australia at the manufactures so it only arrived a few days ago, though it was originally intended to be released on the same day as it would be released in Europe

Ok, I have never heard of this band and I been around music along time. What makes this progressive. they are nothing like Rush, Dream Theatre, Nightwish, Kamelot, Fates Warning, Delain, Within Temptation etc etc... this is just a Heavy Metal Band. Now I know we all have different tastes so dont take this the wrong way, I dont like it. Its boring, formulaic and watching this, their stage presence is not very how do I say, crowd involving... hmm. I am glad I researched them before buying.

@bonzophuebes1 You my friend obviously have not been around prog music very long if you haven't heard of Symphony X. One of the defining new prog bands of our generation. There is a reason Symphony X and Dream Theater tour together. Kamelot is not Prog they are more Power Metal. Don't take THIS the wrong way but don't claim you know alot about a subject when in reality, I can tell you haven't listened to anything other than this album.

I like all those bands mentioned, Symphony X are more metal. On stage they are great too. I've been lucky to see them live, they were great and the crowd was going ape-shit! I also got to meet them later and they were all great, signing aurographs and taking pictures and talking to us \m/

they have less solo(and more actual musical ideas) a MUCH more enjoyable and versitile singer(who focuses on good melody AND sounding good, not just singing above high C the entire song) similiar caliber guitarist

symphony X writes better music, period. DT is more or less rock oriented chord movement with direct modulation - and SX has more baroque-esque compositional skills(which takes skill)

Rush and DT are Progressive Rock, Kamelot makes Power Metal , Within Temptation is ... rare. Nightwish makes Metal Kinematic (his music is totally oriented soundtracks, the keyboardist says)

-I suggest you record a metal show with your cellphone on first line and hear the audio afterwards.

-I did it with a Zoom Q3HD. PCM (Quantization : 24bit, Sampling Frequency : 96kHz)

This band ruleeezzzz but they LACK of rhytm guitar!!! especially on the begginings (so that romeo can play keyboard melodi unisono), and on gutar solos, its so empty without rhytm guitar
