By adding actors 'visuals" they are missing the main point of the film. Deric was blind with only a glow of blue, he was trying to take us into his world. I saw this at a festoval in Europe with Deric Jarman in the audience he talked after the film and basically said the same.
A thoughtful, personal and creative vision. created by a master of the process of catharting his emotions into powerful and dynamic personal expression.
Awesome, Octi. You are a creative force of nature, I swear. Thank the gods we have you in Florida making work that challenges the boring norm. xo, caca-pingping-pah-kong
"Blue" (I saw it in a theatre) was basically a soundtrack, with a specific shade of blue projected on the screen for the whole runtime. jarman was going blind at the time, and nobody would finance one of his usual productions because of AIDS. i think the shade of blue was what he saw as his retinas deteriorated, a tragic loss. go to amazon, netflix, etc and vote to get all his films released on DVD!

Is it adapted from Derek Jarman's "Blue"? I always want to find the original movie.

Hi Adael, Thanks for the comment. You can get the full film Blue through Zeitgeist movies. You can buy it on VHS only though.
Good luck.
