  • Beautiful biggest man made water falls in North America. New York will soon be a great attraction. Never forget the victims and STOP ISLAMISM.

  • @DkBieber1 Islamism? Are you dumb.

  • @DkBieber1 NY already is a great attraction.

  • @canalfox45 better than ever :P

  • @DkBieber1 da hell? islamism?

  • @Rosamisada just forget it

  • . Over 1000 people have not been recovered - this is their final resting place.... This reconstruction has been created to honor them and to move our city & nation forward… it has been done thoughtfully, honorably & beautifully.

  • the waterfall falls into a smaller waterfall at its base and underground area where family, friends and visitors can quietly reflect mourn, etc. Please remember this is not about 2 buildings; this is about families that have lost sons, daughters, mom, dads, brothers, sisters and have never had closer.

  • The PATH WALK has been rotated from the original plan so that at 8:46, (when the first tower was stuck) EVERY 9/11 the sun will be positioned so that it's light will flow directly down the center of the Path Walkway - which has an open source of sunlight. The glass on the Museum has been created with bold stripes to gently remind us of the columns in the original WTC... there is one tree that survived 9/11 and it is planted near the memorial -

  • This is new Memorial and the surrounding area COULD NOT be more honoring to those that have died at the WTC site. Like many, I too have lost loved ones that day. The memorial is built on the original footprints of the North and South towers; the Freedom tower in their shadow creating a bldg representing moving forward and not forgetting the past; the second bldg has diamond cuts at the top that have an angle that points diagonally to the memorial site.

  • O.K., so apparently no one knows any thing here so...

    1. The pits were all ready there, they were the footprints of the buildings.

    2. They are rebuilding, its one tower even bigger and its going to be the strongest building ever made (3 foot thick steel all the way up the sides+ reinforced pole going all the way up the center)

    3. And its not a bad memorial because its going down, if you do know, those small squares in the middle are lights, at night the shine up in a square like the twin towers.

  • I think the water fall is amazing, looks really nice and now the people who didn't find there loved ones have a place to go and think about them, the missing are berried there, so a manorial is better than a rebuild, although because the water symbolises to me falling I think they should have made a twisting spiralling statue ect right in the middle with a us flag on it,( from out of the darkness America rose but will never forget)

  • You guys are just being stubborn. You want them back, I do too, but every time someone who lost a loved one in that disaster will look at them and be reminded of the terrible loss they suffered. Would you like to be reminded that SOMEONE died where you are standing? Would you like to remind yourself that nearly 2500 people died in the towers you're in (technically, since it's a remake)? No. I sure wouldn't.

  • @Jk981206 FINALLY a person with some logic in his mind!

  • @steven1098s Also, just imagine the paranoia, NOBODY would want to work in there again in fear.

  • I have nothing against this, personally though I prefer them to re built the twin towers exactly the way they were :( I never got to see them cause I don't live in NY. I visited last month though

  • you guys are wrong this is beautiful!!!!

  • Twin Towers II is dead NOW !!!

  • What a horrible design given what happened there. The deep pits are graves of where two buildings use to stand. Something which people have to stare into. ughh who the hell designed the memorial?

They should have rebuilt the two towers with a new design.

  • @helpdonate1 ur gay there is more to see its all underground and thats disturbing to people that died ok just forget it its opening next month

  • I dont get it why everyone is

    "build the twins"

This is the design thats happening so insted of being negative, be positive!!!!

This design is really modern and beautiful!!!!!

And building the twins again, they wont be the same, this is a much better idea!

  • please reply back were this memorial is going to be is it exactly were the WTC stood or not

  • @OrANGETuRD32 the 2 pools are in the exact footprints of the towers

  • i really wished they would have gone with the design which was one candle lit for each victim underground.....

  • sry i posted tht twice the first time it didnt show

  • id be like, 'wheres the world trade center, the thing that should be here?'

  • id be like 'um...wheres the WTC, u kno, wut SHOULD be here? and wheres the garden of inspiration?'

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • A waterfall? oh please ,i hope its not going ahead. Build bronze statues of the brave fire fighters as they were going into resuce , many of whom never returned, along side statues of loved ones who found each other, and the ones who didnt..,build a bronze mini replica of the collapsed towers, and the names of all who perished, It must be a visual reminder!they could make an incredible ponient memorial.

So what do they do? make waterfall! lol

  • grrr this design sucks i mean wheres the names engraved ??? of those poor people who lost their lives that day World Trade Center Memorial animation Ground Zero <<< that design should of won

  • i read that all of the people that died names will be engraved into the fountain but nobody could see them because its like inside, if you know what i mean

  • No you can see them they are going to be written outside on parapets surronding the memorial

  • This design wallows in sadness, despair & grief.

Waterfalls of tears flowing into 2 huge, literal depressing pits in the ground. But that's not enough depression! The holes have deeper holes for our tears to flow into. Maya Lin, the "one-trick pony" designer of the Vietnam Memorial, who was a judge on this panel, swayed the other judges to choose this design. Hey, Maya...get over your holes in the ground, already!

  • you wanna see a "wonderful creation"?

    REBUILD THE FUCKING TOWERS!!!!!

  • exactly

  • @WTCTribute We wasted over 5 years making new designs that nobody wants. I'm with you, REBUILD Twin Towers!!!

  • just plain ugly. yuck.
