I cant notice any huge differene in recoil between the gen 3 and gen 4. I like the gen 3 better dont like the huge magazine release.

@brandon401401 i use to have a gen4 glock but sold it because the slide had problems going back on the frame. The glock 23 is my fav carry weapon and i want another one badly the question is should i get the gen4 or gen3.

My Glock gen 4 has been very unreliable. i am very disappointed. Glocks used to be consistently reliable. My gen 2 and gen 3 were fantastic. Anyone thats been around for awhile knows that nobody had problems like this years ago. I am glad you have had good luck wih yours but something has changed. I have replaced the spring so not just a spring problem unfortunately.

Yeah I jus picked up A G19 Gen4 and G23 Gen4 today and put 250 factory loads and 250 reloads throiugh them both and had no problems what so ever!!

@Brandon401401 That's great that you aren't having any issues.  Eventually I want to get a G23 myself along with a 40-9 conversion barrel. It seems though that the 40-9 conversion barrel is sold out everywhere at the moment.

Why is the factory cleaning brush and rod "useless" to you? I love em!! Plastic rods dont mar or scratch the barrel/crown!

@TheGunSpot the gen 3 has a smaller hole for the recoil spring on the end of the slide. and the gen 4 is bigger so they wont interchange the gen 3 spring would fall right out. i just dont like the cleaning rods you get with them b/c they are way to flimsy for me. im gonna do a tabletop on the gen3 and 4 later to point out some of the differences.
