can you please tell me if ALL of the webcams features function even while doing live webcam chat on something like yahoo messenger? or do some of them only work during recordings?

yes, all the video effects and the panning and tilting will work while using instant messengers but you will have to have the Logitech software opened while doing it.

Daniel, I saw your review, and it is pretty goog. I was wondering if you could record a message using this camera on a full sreen mode. I mean, recording your self so that you can only see the message you are leaving on the screen. No other aplications running or windows, only the video you are recording on that exact moment.
