ok, here's the deal then, I own an SQUIER Obbey propaganda Stratocaster. it came with shitty pickups and rustic and worn body. pretty cool looking guitar. I switched the pickups and humbucker and lo and behold. i have an awsome sounding axe now so it doesn't really matter if its a custom or the original

I do agree with that. In the end that's the thing - whether you get to the guitar you really like or not. I used to play cheap Fender Japan guitar, modified by myself. And never was able to find something to replace it - it took something like 10 years to meet my current guitar.

squire are low quality fenders so u will find almost ever fender model as a squire too just like gibson and epiphone

frankly it looks like a telecaster but it isnt cause the tone knobs are held up diagonally, not a cyclone because it has two single coils and no tremelo, not a jaguar cause...its not a jaguar

anybody else have any insight as to what it is?

it's a cyclone. look closely, the bridge pick-up is a black+white colored humbucker, the black is hard to see.

im obviously way out of line here though i have seen a squire that looks like a mustang, and its name was a cyclone, just like they call the squire knock-off strats "bullets"... i know cuz i have one. its shit. they're like a hundred bucks, and my friend has the cyclone. also like a hundred bucks.

all im saying is if it was the squire cyclone then shame on them, and if it was the fender cyclone (yeah i looked into that, your all right, they exist) then ok w.e

The vocal is playing Fender Cyclone. Slanted front pick up, humbucker on the bridge, and syncronized tremolo bridge (It's on Wikipedia). I don't see the pickup switch clearly but it's Cyclone. The guitarist is playing good old Fender Mustang, probably 60s or 70s model.
