Katie is doing great! She has just finished 7th grade. She has remained cancer free and we are very greatful. She recovered well from her back surgery in November of last year. She continues to have issues with her spine and does appear to have a disabled walk, but she walks and she thrives. We are happy for her! she is a busy teen and has a facebook page. She was voted president of ASB for the 2010/2011 school year!

My daughter was 11 yrs.n dx with AML. only 500 kids a year get this in the u.s.a (adult form). after 3 months in the hospital, 30 spinal taps with introthecal chemo and 5 rounds of chemo. She just finished 10th grade, she is a miracle. You are beautiful!

Im in sixth grade and our teachers 6 year old daughter is fighting the worst case of leukemia, its hard for her & us, its really sad to see someone so close fighting this battle; she just recently came too our school & did an annoucment (Maya - leukemia 6 year old) of her saying thank you for everyone visiting her, shes a very smart girl & loves her family, please have her in your prayers, thank you and God bless.

My buddy has bone cancer... it normally affects children so he created a comic book to help those kids and family members deal with it. He is also creating a foundation to help fight cancer with the proceeds of the comic book: Captain Cure.
