  • The absolute BEST version of "rock" Christmas Carols. I heard this performed live. My friends and I didn't know what hit us. It was beyond spectacular...

  • I always loved this and made my family listen :) I think i was the only one who really loved it, for some odd reason, but they usually were good about listening. I still love it, thanks for posting!! :)

  • Great music!!

  • Best version of this song ..Whiteheart !!!

  • This rendition of Little Drummer Boy will always hold a special place in my heart.

  • this is coolest version of the song. and from the 80s. awesome.

  • This is my favorite rendition of this song! Awesome!

  • i heard this song live one year b4 christmas and the drummer did a long solo that just blew me away

  • @bulldog32220 Was Jon Knox the drummer at that time? He could pull off some serious power drumming!

  • @CaptainRiposte Nah - it was way earlier - Chris McHugh.

  • @CaptainRiposte it was chris hugh , but i was lucky enough to hear jon knox play this song too

  • @prometheus19799791: This version is from the 1988 Christmas album by Sparrow Records titled "Christmas." Included in that album are Silent Night by Bebe and Cece Winans, What Child is this by Michael Card, etc. Home for the Holidays by the various artists of this album is also good. For me this is the best Christmas album.

  • Beautiful...

  • The best version of this song ...Whiteheart ...!

  • My dad made me look this up and I love it

  • this is such an intense song. it makes the my hairs stand on end. what is the name of the album that this song was taken from?

  • @prometheus19799791 The album is called Christmas. I totally agree with you about the song! It's amazing

  • @prometheus19799791 It came from a Sparrow Records Christmas compilation album but it was collected on the unofficial White Heart album "Souvenirs."

  • saw them live in Greensboro NC I believe 1994, they did this song and all I could do was weep. The most powerful version ever recorded!

  • It's almost that time! I was raised with this version on the cassette of Sparrow Records' Christmas. Oh, I miss that. I don't have a cassette player anymore so I can't listen to it anywhere except on YouTube.

  • @koolkory8 I have the cassette, wished they had released that album on CD, but I've never found it. Even wrote to Sparrow and there is no plans to re-release the album. I was able to convert my cassette into mp3's so I can at least listen to it whenever I want - it's the only Christmas song I will listen too all year long lol

  • @theonlymoo5e It is purchasable on White Heart's "Souvenirs" album digitally, either in the entire album or as a single. :)

  • @CaptainRiposte I know, but like I said I converted my cassette into mp3 last winter. had a tape deck that connected via USB to computer. I got about 440 of my 600 cassettes converted before the tape deck died :oO

  • My favorite version of this song!

  • This kinda reminds me of Mannheim Steamroller. Therefore, it is AWESOME!!!

  • you have no idea how long i've been looking for this song !!!

  • @regisphilbinrocks You can purchase it on the White Heart "Souvenirs" album either in the entire album or as a digital single. :)

  • Best Christmas song ever covered! Saw this monsterband a couple of times live in Holland, and every time they blew me away.

  • "You find the god idea of an omnipotent and ominpresent being a bit improbable." What facts and observations did you use to come to that conclusion?

  • what a nice song of praising to our lord!! :)

  • The absolute BEST version of this song ever!

  • Can't you feel something a little different when you here this song, all musicians are passionate & talented but bands like this have something more and its just that obvious. My friends have noticed that this song has an anthem feel to it and a declaration like undertone that most music just simply doesnt have. There is a reason!

  • Thank you for posting this version. It was this version that I first really 'heard' the words and touched me deeply. We are so like that little drummer boy, in that we don't necessarily have riches to give our King, but all we have to give Him are the gifts and talents He has placed in us. He is very pleased with those.

  • the idols are sure to tumble down when this song is heard

  • CUTE

  • This is the best version of Little Drummer Boy in existence

  • This is my favorite version of this song.

  • this song rocks! no matter what you believe! ME AND DDDRRRUUUMMMMMM!

  • Check out my instrumental version of this song :)

    watch?v=KIDFf_I-Gp8

  • Best version of this song EVER!!! I mean, if ever there was a Christmas carol that screamed for a rock version, this was it.

  • Even though I'm an atheist, this is one of my favourite Christmas songs of all time. Merry Christmas, everybody <3

  • BEST HARDCORE DANCE DJ REMIX EVER !!!!!!!!!!

  • @ryukochan81 - my statement is simply saying that i dont think some people are being very nice about their statements about God. just cause someone puts a christmas song up about jesus doesn't mean they are shoving their faith down someone else's throat. if you dont like the song, don't listen. no need to start attacking religion or those people that adhere to it just because they post a song up on youtube...

  • I'm on the fence in the sense of religion, I find the god idea of an omnipotent and omnipresent being a bit improbable.

Though I have read much of the bible, to see what it means.

One part stands out the statement and idea of Doing charity in the public eye is no better than doing nothing, but doing charity in private with only God as a witness is a great thing. People donate/help because others view them better for it, an inherently selfish thing. I will mass as a large oxymoron due to this.

  • @thing2liv ya know, you're right about the idea of a god that is omnipotent and omnipresent (not to mention omniscient) being improbable. on the other hand though, there is a lot about us and our own planet that is also pretty improbable. not tryin' to force an idea on you, just making an observation.

  • I find it easier to believe in a omnipotent Creator rather than believe that EVERYthing in this world, and the entire universe, is the result of an endless chain of accidents, each one building on the previous. just stupendous luck, i guess. EVERYthing since that first instant up through the chomo sapiens and the computer age a fortunate fluke? It's mind bogglingly, brain numbingly improbable.

  • @thing2liv ...you are not as smart as you think you are if you truly believe we came here randomly. I am believing more and more that the more I learn on this earth--the more I don't know. maybe you should start thinking that as well.

  • @thing2liv

    Improbable?

What is really not merely improbable but impossible is that the universe created itself from nothing and for nothing.

Check out the book "The Probability of God" by Stephen Unwin - Phd in the quantum gravity -theoretical physics

  • @thing2liv God made man in the image of himself, He exists, He is a person and we can find out more about him if we have the desire, Man proposes and God disposes but only according to our merit not our desire. I we wnat to find out more baout him then, God will arrange it, he will arrange situations for us to learn more and then all we need to do is to take the change. I find out alot from a book called the Bhagavad Gita as it is. Peace and all the best in finding out

  • @thing2liv I find the idea of the entire universe existing by mere coincidence or a big bang being far more improbable. Great video though!

  • @SteveKnepp But what is the chance needed?

It's like a monkey and typewriter, for an infinitely long amount of time. It will at some point have written everything possible with a typewriter, So what would be the chance of something completely improbable happening given time?

Just my view. and either way people should donate to be helpful not to buy into heaven.

  • @thing2liv said: "One part stands out the statement and idea of Doing charity in the public eye is no better than doing nothing, but doing charity in private with only God as a witness is a great thing."

You are missing the point and did not read it very well apparently. Jesus is talking about those who are doing charity FOR SHOW, to get the PRAISE OF MEN. You were reading it assuming it can't be true instead of with an open mind. Jesus then said, FOR THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD!

  • @thing2liv The point is that their reward is just the PRAISE of men and not the favor of God. And you made another incorrect statement, doing it for God is not doing it for nothing.

  • @thing2liv Also, don't beat around the bush, if you don't believe it, just say you don't believe. You have the prerogative to say you don't believe it. But you know what, you just landed on the crux of the matter; that is you have to decide if you believe it or not. That is the crux, the main theme of Christianity, FAITH, which means belief, and belief in who Jesus claimed to be, which He claimed to be God. Believe and act like it or don't believe, that is all God wants you to do.

  • @thing2liv

Please ask the Lord to reveal himself to you, You could be amazed, God Bless You,

    Dave

  • @thing2liv that's the reason you are human because you can not comprehend that there is God. Faith brother! Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, KJV). "A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (1 Corinthians 2:14).... really sorry for you

  • wow, i love how people just want to up and attack God like its some hobby of theirs. i mean, they say it in such a way that i almost think they do it out of love and not in an attempt to destroy peoples' hope in "something more". i'm so glad they are so selfless in trying to show us believers "the truth" and that they are not trying to sound smarter than us or mock us. thank God for such kind people! :D

  • @adamwwagner so, what do you think of us non-churched? (not un-churched - i have read the entire bible, been through many devotionals and classes, and was raised christian) are you tireless in your efforts to convert us to your way of belief? are you passionate about "saving the souls" of all of us who do not believe as you do, with your "truth"? there have been thousands of "gods" - you're only one away from atheism yourself.

  • @ryukochan81 - as for nonchurched people, what can i say? God knows your heart not me. plus church doesnt seem to save anyone. so... ? am i passionate about saving souls? no, because i can't. am i passionate about peoples souls being saved? yes. and if i feel that i found something to be true why is this whole world so against me sharing it? and using that logic there have been thousands who DON'T believe in God... is that only a step away from belief because that acknowleges the idea of God...?

  • Nice song and great pics to go with it. Don't worry Benignos about the non-believers. Their day will come.

  • @Rawtalent88 i feel bad though. the greatest tragedy ever is to go through life without knowing God.

  • @Benignos its only the greatest trick the devil ever played.

  • @mo09hhjgyer just so i can make sure i know what you're talking about, what is the greatest trick the devil ever played?

  • @Benignos The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

  • @Benignos The greatest trick the devil ever played was to convince the world he doesn't exist.

  • @Benignos The greatest trick the devil ever played was to convince the world he doesn't exist.

  • @blu3jay I know, i just wanted to make sure that was what the other person was talking about as well as the statement didn't quite fit the context. thanks though

  • Beautiful version! I find it interesting that so many "non-Christians" listen to and post on a Christmas song.

  • I hate the christmas period and most christmas songs but this is still the best version of a christmas song ever.....along with all the christmas songs by the metal band THEOCRACY.

  • the best version of "the Little Drummer Boy" even some 20 years later! all hail the king of kings who lay in a manger...

  • If there is no God then why do we ask God to damn so many things?

  • One of my all time favorite Christian rock Christmas songs! thanks for sharing!!

  • God is amazing... first miracle on earth with Jesus, was his birth. Born of a virgin, foretold to become the King of the world, born poor in a manger. This is such a touching song. I pray for those lost and "strong" without Jesus. Because he said when you are weak, thats when you are strong. We need him

  • Ive always loved this song~!! ^^

  • This is like, awesome ^.^ It's all heavy metal.. (:

  • @kalinkamolnia learn some respect

  • there is no god....but this song is almost evidence of one.

  • @jhikelat1 God loves you

  • @jhikelat1 if you don't mind my asking, why do you think there is no god? i'm just wondering if perhaps you know something i don't

  • @jhikelat1 you have the freedom to believe what you want. I beleive that God loves you so much, and beacuse his love is so strong for you, he gives you the freedom to make your own decisions. Otherwise if he didnt truly and fully love, then he would have made us all the same with the same salvation. and if this song is almost enough evidence to make you into a believer, then just what till he comes again.

  • @jhikelat1 so you believe there is no god but what if there is and you die? if you believe in god and hes not real then all thats going to happen is you are going to die big deal but if there is a god and you dont put your faith in him you will spend eternity in hell, i mean what have you got to lose by putting your faith in god? it costs you nothing and you will prevent that possibility of going to hell. its like wearing a seatbelt you dont know if you are going to crash but you wear it in case

  • @jhikelat1 Amen to that! God is as real as Santa and the Eastern Bunny. God is just the adult version.

  • This RULES. I saw them do it live once and it was amazing!

  • This rendition by White Heart is one of my favorites. I am glad I have it on CD and thanks a lot for posting this video of it!

  • I have been listening to this since i was a kid, It still gives me goosebumps. I love Whiteheart! The best version of this song

  • This song is so rockin! the best version of The Little Drummer Boy i have ever heard.

  • The vocals on this version of The Little Drummer Boy are the best - and what about the instruments...Totally Rocks! - would love to see a music video done of this song with a much longer drum solo being played in front of the baby Jesus...

  • well this is the best version of this song and well for the above comments jews believe jesus was a prophet not the true Messiah they believe the true messiah is yet to come. Christians believe the jesus is the true messiah and they believe he's coming back again.

  • @Benignos yes

  • Best Version Ever.......But I would love to hear what Boston could have done with it!!

  • My all time favorite version of the Little Drummer Boy - White Heart Rocks It!!!

  • @Benignos Yes.

  • great version of this classic!

  • Love this version! Brings back memories. :)

  • sorry fo me jesus is a prophet, i'm not christian

  • @kalinkamolnia i´m a Christian, but i don´t necessarily think that you have to believe in jesus because of that. I was born with my faith because of my parents, but the only time i go to a church is when summer and Christmas breaks starts, when you have to go because otherwise you dont get your grades so..

  • @AOZ113 Hi there! I just saw your comment on this song (which I love, by the way). Now, I have no intention of flaming you or anything, but I couldn't help but wonder... Don't you think it's odd to say a christian doesn't have to believe in Jesus Christ? I mean, that's basically the definition of the word "christian". Also, it's not something you are "born with". It has to do with accepting Jesus personally. Just something to think about... ;-)

    Have a nice day!

  • @kalinkamolnia stare at the last supper,, left side and right side,,, and him in the middle. a design.

  • @kalinkamolnia That's ok, no one really needs to accept him as a God, just a man who has changed this world more than anyone will ever truly know.

and you may not have ever been born if it wasn't for your grandfather meeting your grandmother in a Church. just saying, you will truly never know.

  • @kalinkamolnia Jesus is Savior!

  • @kalinkamolnia that's ok and i respect that choice, but i am curious. if you consider him to be a prophet, do you study what he said?

  • @kalinkamolnia you don't have to believe Jesus is the Messiah to believe God exists, don't you see God in everything that exists? or at least that God is Love:)

  • 3:12-3:19 is AWESOME!

  • This is the best version of Drummer Boy I've heard. Jesus is Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!There is no other way to be saved, only through Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Benignos, I noticed they haven't responded yet, guess they have nothing to say.

  • This is such an awesome version. My favorite!! I still listen to it, even in July. Heck, it's great to keep "Christmas" in your heart all year long. Actually my 4 year old loves to rock with this song...thanks for sharing.

  • @kalinkamolnia now i am genuinely curious, why is it that you feel the desire or need to say something like that? especially on the comment board of a video that you have nothing to do with. do you find Jesus so offensive? or are you trying to get a rise out of someone. looking forward to your reply :)

  • @Benignos I noticed they haven't replied, guess they have nothing to say.

  • @kalinkamolnia As Christian hardcore band The Lead sang, "We see behind the blasphemy, you can't shock us anymore." Another 'brave' human attacking Christ because us Christians don't hit back. Try saying that about Mohammed near a mosque and see where it gets you!! Psalm 2, "Why do the heathen rage....The LORD shall have them in derision."

  • @kalinkamolnia the bible says every knee will bow and everytongue will confess that jesus is lord to the glory of god the father as your savior or judge but you will bow the knee to him

  • @kalinkamolnia .....you better repent or scream from the pit of hell from the moment you draw your last breath

  • Great Version!

  • What's the name of the person singing this?

  • @jkellybrew it was performed by the band "Whiteheart" and the lead singer at the time this was recorded was Rick Florian

  • @jkellybrew this particular version is performed by the band Whiteheart and the lead singer at this time this was done is named Rick Florian

  • @jkellybrew The vocalist for Whiteheart / White Heart during this era was Rick Florian.

  • What a huge production this song is. It sounds awesome, even after all this time.

  • This is good but Jars of Clay's version is better, or at least just as good.

  • @23Echavez Just listened to JoC's version. Some nice bass lines but I prefer Whiteheart's version. You just can't beat that guitar and those vocal harmonies.

  • This is the BEST "Drummer Boy" version I've ever heard! Whiteheart was underappreciated in Christian music in the 80's but glad I got to hear this some 20 years later!

  • My all time favorite version of this song. Can't be topped!

  • @lorilong728 Actually you are right but Mercy Me's version comes darn close.

  • I remember this song done live it still is awesome today best version ever

  • this is the most awesome version of this song i have ever heard

  • This version is good but kinda a toss up between them and Stryper's version but I love the way there is though. Makes me feel like I am right there with the little drummer boy .How often does a song make you feel like that

  • What pisses me off is how do the Music Awards not recognize "masterpieces" like these? it just baffles me. This is music for real. Awesome, absolutely awesome for anyone to come out and change the Drummer Boy and transform it into a hit like that? Wow.

  • Best version ever!!!

  • This is my favorite version of this song!! thanks for the post!

  • I Remember Seeing Them Playing this Live in Toronto; 20 Yrs. ago !

  • I remember getting the "Christmas" album for Christmas when I was in the third grade. I listened to this song so many times that it would make you sick if the song werent so confound Magnanamus...Such Huge VOCALS!!! I'm gonna get my church to do it for a special Sunday! LOOK OUT!!

  • I Love it!

  • truley a epic

  • thanx for posting it....i've been looking for that song for ages!!!!! it rocks...

  • The song is from the 1988 Sparrow Records Album "CHRISTMAS" it is my favorite of all versions of this song. I met Some of the guys in the band back in 1991. They were the greatest, nicest, guys! They are still my favorite band.

  • Great version of a great song!

  • Does anyone know what Christmas compilation this is from? A friend of mine said somethin' from the late '80's. He used to have the cassette, but he can't remember the name.

  • you can get it from 2 albums. one simply titled "christmas" or you can get it from "souvenirs." hope that helps.

  • the album called "christmas" was actually renamed "Home for the holidays", i discovered this when i went to look for this cd on amazon when someone else had asked about it

  • nice one for looking out. hopefully, they'll find the album.

  • @drumfoomaster It is also on the tales of wonder cd just before light a candle (cd only the tape does not have) I miss that cd

  • @morningstar2003 it's not on the tales of wonder cd. unless, you have a special edition. i know many people who have the cd and i too. it's not on there.

  • this is the best version of this song... they have the power of god behind this song... this rocks no matter where you come from!!! digndrummer ... i think I'll replay this one a few more times.

  • thanks, glad you like it

  • Not sure what "that kind of talk" you are refering to. I dig Whiteheart so I don't get your dig, yo!

  • i was talking about some of your derogatory terminology, the comment is gone so don't sweat it

  • sorry, i'm not having that kind of talk on my vids

  • I have yet to find a better version of this song! The Mattman

  • White Heart's version still takes the cake for me!

  • favorite part 3:17-3:35...A M A Z I N G!!!!!

  • "WOW" can Rick sing!

  • Davvero bella questa canzone!

  • Mi fa piacere che si è goduto

  • conosci altri bei gruppi come questo?

  • bianca davvero non hanno molte bande che suonano come loro, ma si avvicina petra

  • Hands down the best version of this song ever... with Rick's voice how could it be otherwise?! I've been a huge fan of this song and White Heart since a teenager, thanks a ton for posting!

  • no problem, glad you enjoyed it

  • This is awesome! First time I heard this version of "Little Drummer Boy." I'm listening while wearing my antlers and writing Christmas cards. This is just picture postcard perfect. Thanks for posting. Made my night.

  • glad to be of service

  • Awesome! I was in prison for selling LSD the first time I heard this song (1988). My parents sent it to me on cassette tape. I've loved it ever since!

  • AWESOME! Never heard this version before

  • Your video is so lovely - where did the image at 2:12 come from, it really caught my eye. Just beautiful!!

  • it's from the movie "the nativity story" that came out a few years ago

  • I've loved the heck out of this version since it came out - and none of my family does! I'm banished from the living room when I blast it :-D Why would anyone not love this?!

  • what can i say, some folks just don't know good music when they hear it... :/

  • Darn tootin'!

It's fun for me here to find like -minded Little Drummer Boy folks here!!! :-D

  • Because of this version, the Little Drummer Boy is my favorite song and has been ever since Whiteheart came out with it. Thanks for posting it!

  • glad to be of service, if you're interested, i also have a video for their song "the river will flow" on my channel

  • this is definitely one of my fave whiteheart songs ever, great version.

  • I just want to tell everyone about the best Christian Holiday Rocker Cd. It's called Rock Power Praise. Once you hear it you'll never forget it. It has Gaurdian, I believe Petra and a whole lot of other Christian artist's singing Christmas songs in their genre. Awesome

  • I grew up with these bands. This song is my all-time favorite for Christmas! Really, it's great anytime.

  • They sure know how to rock this song. White Heart is the greatest christian rock band ever, yes I think they are better than Petra. But nobody knows about them though. Its all about these nooby christian bands of today. If it wasnt for bands like white heart, stryper and petra they would not be around.
