yea i have the same problem, i get the sms mostly when i switch on my phone, i called optus like 5 times, no luck but i personally think its from the missed call service, to disable it sms the word "off" to 159 hope this helps

i wonder if the caller gave the rep the 'this call is being recorded speech?' if he didnt, he has broken ACMA regulations. just like optus has to tell you the call could be recorded and give you the opportunity to ask optus to cancel the recording. i'll bet any money this wasnt done.
