You're not supposed to put your hair into the slit of the roller! They tell you not to do this in the instruction manual! It's just there to heat up the roller in the box.

@twinnienumbuh2 it might be better if you get a straightener that also curls. Make sure the sides are round, not square, because otherwise it just created bends, not curls :)

another easy faster healthier way to do this look is to use foam rollers, sleep on them, and then shake them of in the morning. come out really good as this one.

I use the BabyLiss hot rollers that stand up, can't remember what they are called. I absolutely LOVE them. They make my hair shiny and full and it eliminates flyaways. I definitely suggest them.
