  • what size trackers are those?

  • @DJDiscoFoo 106mm Tracker RTS/X.. the re-issue mid tracks work well too.

  • R da bushings good?

  • @bluexrage2 Average...not bad, but not 'premium'.

  • yes.

  • hey would tis be good for just cruzin around, please respond!

  • I bought one in Hawaii when looking for a good cruiser the guy at the shop made me pay a little over 90 dollars for it and later I found the holes were drilled off and the skater in the shop that worked there said it was and said hed talk to his manager about a refund he comes out and says no refund and gets all pissy and everything went to hell but over all great board I ended up painting it with blue stripes

  • could i skate it for what it was desined for? (pool skating)

  • @alec3459 its a bit small.... but they did it in 77... thing is there has been MASSIVE progress and development over the last 30 years.

  • @Octanesport alright thanks

  • Im thinking about getting one of these, I have always ridden a Z flex Cruiser so im used to small boards. I would be primarily using it as a cruising board but if I wanted to take the to the skate park to do a little carving would it be possible? Also what wheels would you recommend for Cruising but also bowl skating? Thanks

  • @TheElementOfSkating Id stick with Cambrias as they just look so 'right' and work well.

  • will this fit with original s6 trucks and cult deathrays of my longboard?..

  • @RugbyBoyCotters123 you may need to re-drill deck for hole pattern.

  • do you guys ship to canada? and how much would it be ?

  • @819che We do, but try tailtap.com for a similar set up from the U.S.

  • Sick! So does it come complete if purchased?

  • @IDrainYou8 yes. Ready to ride.

  • Sick! So it comes complete if purchased?

  • @IDrainYou8 yes

  • Are they light in weight?

  • lol is the stuff u guys do w/ the trucks and separate risers standard in the states?? or is this like something new you guys do?

u have really cool stuff at your store. u guys ship to the states?

  • @onandon19 We wouldnt send the Alvas to the States as they come from their. If you want a setup like the ones we do contact tailtap.com and I am sure they will be able to match it.

  • OHH EMM GEE!! where can i get one !!!????

  • good for beginners?

  • @TheSolarSearcher Its more of a re-issue than a beginner board. Things have moved on since 1977, and this is quite a small board as well. They are great fun, but if you can tell us what kind of boarding you hope to do I'm sure we can point you in the right direction

  • @Octanesport, I'd probably just be using it as a short distance commuter, i used to skate a regular board, is there much difference?

  • @TheSolarSearcher could be great fun. Soft wheels, nice and turny. Pedestrian slalom. Also look at this board too....longer and an ideal cruiser. octanesport. co. uk /shop/sims-taperkick-with-stringers-re-issue-complete.html

  • thinking of getting this deck with the 97mm flywheels i just orderd, how many risers would i need to not get wheel bite with these wheels and bear trucks? also if this would be pointless can you tell me a deck which can take the wheels without a huge amount of risers. I would also like the board to be a short board. thanks..

  • @GeorgeVinten , george, this deck with 97mm flywheels and bears would quite frankly be one of the WORST setups on the face of the planet. You are right, completely pointless and quite likely unridable. The only board I think that might suit those wheels is a Rolls Rolls. I did see this vid of Abec11 owner Chris Chaput on a mini with what look like Randal 125s. But then he is a little nuts.

  • i want one.

  • how much'-'

  • can i put 70mm wheels on this with out geting wheel bite???

  • what size trucks?

  • yes, you can ollie the Alva board. If you can ollie.

  • is it possible to ollie these boards?

  • there are too many different types of khiro bushings, such as double barrel, aluminium, which typeee!

  • @MrPhreakyPhresh what length bolts

  • why is the back riser flat and the front angled?

  • @liamratliff It so that the RTx (turny) truck is angled slightly further and makes it more turny, mimicking a slalom set up. The rear RTs (stable) doesnt need to be turny so its left flat. Tony Alva used to race slalom in the '70s and this would be similar to that kind of setup.

  • why is the back riser flat and the front angled?

  • is that riser a hard riser or soft? if so what type of softness?.........another question are the black bushings the same as the white bushings; soft khiros?

  • @MrPhreakyPhresh The full listing is at octanesport. ,search under 'Alva'

Front wedge is an 80a duro Khiro Wedge, (not completely hard but with a slight softness). Rear is a stiff 1/2" Khiro. We change the front bushings to soft white Khiros on the RTX and keep the standard Tracker black bushings on the rear, RTS where you dont need as turny a setup as on the front.

  • this '27' alva board is very simular to the modern z-flex '28'

  • What size trucks are those?

  • @alohastar 106mm. Tracker Rts (stable on the rear) Rtx on the front (more turny). these also work really well with the mid-track re-issues.

  • 3DM wheels are awesome for slalom.

  • I have one with Cadillac wheels and Bennett Vector trucks

  • getting one for christmas, but different trucks and wheels.

  • do u send to aus

  • You can choose US dollars from the drop down list of currencies. There are more than Pounds and Euros!

  • aaahhhh!! i want to buy this board but i went to ur site and its only in like euros or pounds!! is there a way to buy it with american dollars!?!?

  • That was the board I lusted after and bought as a kid on Long Island as a kid. It had Tracker trucks and the red Kriptonite wheels. Its amazing to see them reissue it as a classic board. I loved mine and rode it all over town in bare feet till skin on the bottom of my foot was like an inch think. The Alva and my JVC RCM-70 boom box were my pride and joy as a kid in the seventies.
