Democracy Now "not news"? I am an avid Democracy Now viewer, and Amy expresses little if any of her own opinions on the show. Granted, her questioning of guests is generally from the left. She will never, however give endless airtime to a celebrity's drunken tyrade or exposed boob. Some of us think the ending of human lives and cultures and enslavement or displacement of people for corporate gain is news. Its all a matter of perspective.

Amy Goodman IS awesome ,but at the same time she is just the opposite side of the same coin + she's a softballer (not saying Chris and the mainstream are true hardballers). I've never seen her ask the really tough questions or just a tear apart someone position that was obvious bullshit. But as far as t.v. news goes- she's as good as it gets.

I've seen her do it all the time. Interviewing Tariq Azizz's lawyer he casually meantioned the Zionist instigators of the war, and Goodman stopped him and asked what he meant by that.  Not only did she call out bullshit, she called out an issue than an increasing number on the left seem to be condoning if not embracing, the "Zionist conspiracy" theory behind the Iraq War.
