  • That's whooping cough! Better get checked out.

  • hey stupid ,,,how do you expect to finish the cut with your clamp blocking the router ??????

  • Looks like the second clamp is going to block the router base. OH well, it's just an instructional video. I guess it does not really matter.

  • the video froze at 0.00 and its probably the most entertaining image in the video...

  • use a square!

  • What a lame video. Who wants a bunch of text on a video?

  • Why is there text on top of your video - I'm not seeing anything of what you're talking about - would love to though:)

  • @seaglassfull turn off closed captions dude!

  • One thing I have learned is you can never trust materials even the ones that are precut from the factory. They could have warped in many ways.

The way I would have gone and THIS IS THE CORRECT WAYS TO WORK. pick a corner. in case of a non square stock pick the shortest of the 2. mark your guide width you want. put your carpenters SQUARE againt this line. butt the guide piece against this square. this will also check if your guide is also straight. clamp the guide and continue to work. good luck

  • why have you put that plank of wood there for?

  • just a thought but does this look liek he might be the only dude on E.V. that has a slight clue about what he is talking about...

  • Hi Kevin my name is Century2324. I am also Gay. I did not want you to feel alone.

  • very informative and enlightened comment. ITT Tech is very proud.

  • be careful with the info you pass on not everyone watching are complete idiots. good attempt though

  • if you create a square template (router base) and then use it on these slide guide is going to give you much better results!!!

by the way use an eyes and nose protections!!!!!! life only one!!!!

  • Hi. That was great. Let me do you a favour. I'm a Dr. I heard your cough. Please have chest x-ray every year. Inhaling those wood particle will give you emphysema. I have worked with many victims of this disease. Catch it in the early days and live a good life.

  • Pixel, GYMMYT;

at 30seconds, he specifically said he'd planed a smooth straight edge on the piece of wood he's using as a guide.

He also clearly states this is for a situation when the router is the only tool available, your regular saw is not available.

  • Ok, I'm by no means an expert, but uhh...how do you make sure the edge you measured from (the edge of the plywood) is perfectly straight? It seems to me that by measurein from the edge inwards, you are just duplicating the edge...if it is not perfectly straight, neither will your cut be. I'd think you'd want to make sure your 1x4 guide was straight and measure from that outward. Right?

  • I don't think I'll ever find myself in a situation where I have a router, but not any sort of circular saw.

  • u moron u add the 1/16 of an inch instead of subtracting when u cut it it would not cut anything if u were to do it like that dumbass

  • If you measure from the uneven edge, wouldn't the edge still be uneven (not square) to the rest of the piece?

  • @GYMMYT I had this problem building my first PC desk, found one board was uneven at the corners by 1/16 of an inch, its hard to notice that if you just measure from corner but when you connect the pieces together, you end up with a mysterious space and then your like...oh shit...
