Good funny story but here the real facts about the animals. Sea snakes can "easily" get their fangs in ya if they wamt to, but they're usually not aggressive. No snake is poisonous, but they are venomous. Cryptelytrops flavoviridis (habu) does NOT have 2 inch fangs. Try a Bitis gabonica. Now there's some huge fangs.

the only reason snakes bite ppl is when they r disturbed, if ppl left them alone they wouldnt get bitten, also this video looks kinda fake, either that or thew quality is rlly bad, cuz it looks like it was voiced over
Why kill them? As jtvovinam said they bite in self defense. The snake is naturally there, the people are the ones who invaded the snakes native range. So it is not the snake's fault it has to bite.
Hmmm... in the 30 months I was stationed on Okinawa, I don't recall hearing but one incident of a snake bite by a Habu. Where do you get your information on the many maimings and deaths each year caused by the Habu? The local populace are trained and not ignorant to the Habu.
I'd like to know where this retard got his information that the Habu have 2 inch fangs and Sea snakes have little fangs. I was stationed at Camp Gonsalves in Okinawa for two years and we all knew better than that crap. The only snake in the world that has 2 inch venom fangs is the Gaboon Viper.
Habu are kissing cousins to Rattlers, as they are in the Crotaline family.

The Hime Habu definately does not have two inch fangs. More like 3/8 at the most. The golden habu's is the largest, approaching 1", but not quite.
