  • It's funny that we are spending so much time on photovoltaic cells when we have had the technology to use solar thermal for a long time. The reason you don't see it is because it would create free energy forever and big companies don't want that. The government doesn't want that either because they make money from the companies.

  • Wow.. that last map shocked me. Can't believe it's SO simple. Why are they not doing this???.

  • But how can you tax solar light properly?

So that the companies and governments make money out of it?

  • Good point, but why should they tax it?. It would SAVE them billions in trying to figure out how to deal with carbon.

  • The governments always need to increase the amount of fiatmoney around, because it is debt. And they need always more income, so they need to increase the amount they get by taxation of people for whatever reason. CO2 production can be translated to most things because energy to produce goods can be calculated to how much CO2 would have been produced. But sun does not produce CO2, so how could the government tax that, they would not like that everybody uses solar energy, it will diminish income

  • I like it ... we all need to be making ones for the back yard or roof.

yes so all you need per person is 5 lots of 1m x 1 metre

australia average urban lot size is

    400 lots of 1x1 metres

I'm in australia on the sunshine coast ... lot sizes very ... old ones 600 new ones 400.

  • If you tell me the space you want to use I can help you with the design and calculate cost. Check out my ning group as well (next to the video)..

  • Im going travelling .. in 2 months. I rent atm ... i would be very prepared to make a 1 x 1 metre unit to take with me.

Could be a good test ... i will be travelling around northern Australia for 6 months.

    Plenty of sunshine.

  • What are your requirements?

  • wow! nice share thanks!!

  • Nice piece euro.

  • Big yellow square looks about 1/3 size of portugal. Works out to 5m2 solar collection per person to power the world. Puts it into perspective.
