Lucrezia:Cabllà;Gennaro:Kraus;Maffio Orsini:Shirley Verrett...the conductor was Jonel Perlea.I don`t remember who was the bass playing the Duke's character, and the tenor in the rôle of rustighiello...
If anybody know these names,please...I want to remember better!!!
I had this complete recording...but I have lost it.and it was a powerful remembrance for me.Being my mother pregnant,my father gave it to her as a gift...and I begin to listen to opera with this Lucrezia borgia...from my mother's womb!
Please,if you have the complete opera..this version....put it!
OPERA in capital letters!!. This excerpt belongs to my all time favourite version of Lucrezia Borgia. Kraus and Caballé are in their absolute prime. I enjoy also very much the later DVD version (Kraus/Sutherland), but this one is the best for me. Thanks a lot kraustrujillo!.
Beautiful duet, but by not holding the last big note longer it loses some of its punch. Listen to the Sutherland/Kraus version to see what I mean.

This is just brilliant. Is there a way you can also provide the other parts of the opera?

Kraus and Caballé at their very best, this duet is presented complete here, not cut like in the Sutherland/Aragall version.
