no what u mean performance wise?

fsx is CPU BOUND game he has a quadcore and a lot of ram and he could get the same performance with a 8600GT on this game

the video is awesome i just bought this aircraft and oh well... is amazing really realistic the way it shakes etc.

No way you could, first of all the video memory wouldn't be enough to contain the textures when changing views etc. and it's just not fast enough. FSX does not really utilize more than two cores unfortunately, the sweet spot seems to be at around 3,2GHZ. FSX can handle single SLI so I would go with the 9800Gx2, witch is basically two 8800GT's joined together. FSX does not use more memory than 2-3 gigs at full settings.

this is not the best place to talk about hardware but im talking about expirience ;-)

my friend/roommate is using a q6600 at 2.8GHz and he is getting it on full load also he is using a 8800GT just like me and the gpu usage is 24% even on klax only goes to 28-30... and no 9800GX2 is sli just on one card if the game is not supporting sli will not support the two gpus of the gx2 :( and this is stupid from mfs

Fantastico realismo! Ma quale e' l' hardware ottimale per sfruttare al massimo FSX? Non riesco mai ad ottenere la fluidita' che vedo nei filmati su YouTube! E dunque devo ridurre trame, traffico, realismo, frames; per ottenere come risultato un frame al secondo ed un hard disk costantemente "pensante". Impossibile volare in queste condizioni, soprattutto atterrare, dove i frames arrivano a 3 o piu' secondi! Grazie anticipato per il consiglio! Stefano da Torino.

Overclocking can screw your computer. It makes it produce more heat and if you keep it it will soon melt right out of your computer. You can do it but you have to be smart about it
