  • With a windscreen, it's a phenomenal little stove! Great video and review. I didn't know Hamburger Helper had those meals complete with the hamburger - I'm going to check for those! Thanks for the information!

  • @earlymusicus Very true! I've owned and used a few Esbit pocket stoves on occasion for many years and can tell you that they sure need some type of wind blocker to keep burning in anything stronger than a slight breeze. Aluminum foil works well, but you can make a good blocker from flashing or from a disposable aluminum pastry pan or pie crust pan. Just roll it up to pack it.

  • Good review ! I have the small titanium folding esbit I luvv both styles.

  • Use a windscreen or dig a hole in the ground for the stove to protect it from the wind.
