women are at all times in animes,very often, constantly in a state of complete fragility and/or sexual vulnerability. yes i get theyre are often depicted as teens, but ive seen animes where girls are blushing and embarrassed in EVERY SCENE. i.e. chibi vampire. and animes where half the main female character's dialogue is them looking distraught at saying the guys name.

those anime are different, and i was implying harem, school girl, and magic girl animes. you make some good points, but the majority of anime girls, especially of the past 10-15 years, have had this static personality design.

For School girl anime, check out "Azumanga Daioh", "Clannad", "ef- a tale of memories", "High School of the Dead", "Voices of a Distant Star", and "Lucky Star". For harem anime, what about "Ranma 1/2" and "Love Hina"? Again, anime are generally filled with strong, independent females. What specific anime are you talking about that have given you this clouded vision of women in anime?

This is by far the cutest ending in the entire history of the Sakura Taisen series. It would also be the "canon ending" for ST5 since Gemini is the lead heroine of ST5. Sakura and Erica shared this respective role in their titles - of course Sakura ultimately won Oogami after ST4... to bad... I liked Erica most.
