Long live Corsica! As our, Georgian legend tells-we are very close relatives, with beautiful, almost similar culture: love of wine, family codex, poliphony songs and so on! Corsica, be happy and free!!!!!!
Over 150,000 Corsicans were granted a consent decree from France, and went to live in Puerto Rico. You will see a big populations of Corsicans and children of Corsicans now living in Puerto Rico. This consent decree was given to the Corsicans in 1898. See landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico in this channel.
But the Corsica shelt many nationalists people, there is mafia,bomb-attack,settling of scores etc....but the corsican people welcome tourists and generally the french people are racists against the corsican and there are some french kills, attacks from the corsicans?Corsica is famous in the world because Napoléon is born in Corsica,Pascal Paoli who helped the U.S.A too
The corsica belongs to the France but is Not french. There is longtime, the Corsica belongs to Genes (Italy) but Genes sold it to the France, there was a war and there was as deads that the Algeria war.Today the Corsica is one of the most tourism destination,German, English, French, American, Australian, Swedish,Spanish etc.. in summer (June July August in Europe) there is very many young tourist (15-35years) because in summer there is many DJ's like David Guetta,Laurent Wolf etc in famous clubs
I Corsi non sono francesi. Sono una popolazione Italica (affine ai Sardi, Toscani e Laziali) non c'entrano un cazzo con i " mangia lumache dalla lingua effemminata ".

I've been told that Corsican people have bad mood and are not very welcoming to foreings... is that true? and how expensive is to visit Corsica? esecially citties like Ajaccion thanks merci grazia
@mikkim11 They welcome tourists, can't complain about hospitality, but usually they won't like you as they neighbor. It's worth visiting, though. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, 3-4 star campings are grate. We did a tour of the island last year, 10 days alternating between hotels (starting from 55 euros) and camping (25 euros at most for 5 stars) . Overall it cost about 1500 euros, including travel costs (4400km, was worth driving all the way) and occasional restaurant dining.

Corsica was in about 400 BC discovered by the Greeks who established there during the Punic War between Rome and Carthage I think...So is Sicily, Sardinia and Syracuse.

I have been there a month ago and I don't find it that stunning, although now that I think back I would go back there and enjoy the clean sea. We went to san nicolao moriani plage or sg like that and the towns in the mountains were quite nice. However, I noticed sg weird-there are lots of old Jeep Willyses and we found a wreck there and saw a name written there and it was 'gabriel angel' and it could have been the driver I think
Just got back from Corsica, all i can say is.. WOW! In all my time traveling the world I can say i've never seen such a beautiful place as this.
