@2husky5 Well the story takes place 70 years later. Aang was probably in his mid to late teens when the original Avatar series ended. So he probably was in his mid to late 80's when he died. He probably just died of natural causes due to his age.

Do a little research on the story before replying to people's questions >.<. Its the story of the new avatar (Korra) 76 years later. Aang and Katara have 3 children, the youngest is going to be teaching the avatar air bending thus being a secondary character. In the story she was born a water bender and has already mastered fire/earth/water. It revolved around the new city that they built shortly after the first series, that was a unilateral city of all four benders.

I never got why the water and air nations are so much weaker then the fire nation and earth kingdom. Water benders are stuck in extremely isolated pockets in the poles and 1 swamp. The south was reduced to a huddle of about 10 tents and 30 people.

The focus of architect of this show is a chinese, steampunk, sort of thing. It's primitive, but really modern. Found commonly in games like Star Ocean, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, etc. Funny how they're all square enix games, huh? ;) None the less, if this were a game, I imagine it would be epic.

Hmm I defiantly think that the bending style is new. Before they would only be picking up one to two stands of element and using it in a very fluid motion, now it's kinda like a stop and go motion where the body movement is still fluid but the element does individual attacks at different points and then picks up with a new strand of the element. This is defiantly a series to look forward to :D

When you said that the Southern Water tribe has obviously expanded, that old water bending master from the Northern Water Tribe went with some people to the Southern one to help rebuild it, i believe it said that in the last episode of season 1 of the last airbender.
