Can anyone out there offer me one valid argument against gay marriage? Btw, saying "marriage is between a man and a woman" isn't an argument. It may be a conclusion to an argument but it is not an argument on its own. An appeal to tradition, i.e. "it's always been this way", is just fallacious and again does not address why gay marriage is right or wrong. These seem to be the two assertions I encounter again and again. I suspect the paucity of a reasoned position indicates that there isn't one.

There are tens of thousands of children being raised by same-sex couples. It’s to society’s benefit that gays be integrated into society’s stabilizing institutions to as great an extent as possible. It’s beneficial that couples form commitments; and that children have the stability and security of married parents.

@GamerGarden 4) Sexual orientation is significantly different from an attraction to a particular inappropriate individual (such as a sibling). Forbidding someone the chance to pursue an inappropriate attraction is an ordinary part of life; but forbidding someone their entire sexual orientation is cruel and lifelong.

@sammyhain13 you could argue incest is someone's sexual orientation much like a fetish, you could say pedophilia, bestiality is ones sexual oreintation, dont bovver argue on difference between homosexuality and bestiality, but saying its a person right to be gay means will be equal for someone to love their sisters.
What deans incest inappropriate, is it wrong, because im seeing very little difference from sleeping with one sisters to that on ones same gender

Either way both relationships is not how human should live, so you are just being double standard, if the incest pair dont talk to their family of their family happily accept it then, it is on par with gays

@GamerGarden No. Making children and siblings valid sexual partners puts children in a clear and present danger. A kid having two mommies or two daddies does nothing to hurt them whatsoever. The psychological damage of incest occurs whether it's secret or not. Homosexuals are only hurt by society forcing them to keep their relationship secret. There is no one correct way for a family to look, that is a myth made by television- there are grandparents, step, foster, single parent families etc

In fact I'm helping to raise my girlfriend's children, because I don't believe in reproducing in this overpopulated world. There is ZERO damage in people of the same gender loving. The american psychologiacl association are most likely talking about sexual abuse not consenting adults, how is anybody being harmed when both parties consent to it.
Then rather then not reproducing they should educate the 3rd world, and if that doesnt work stop benefits for people who have over 6 children and if that doesnt work sterilise their asses
