  • Really love her song!!

  • (cdussery05@yahoo.com)....knowlife ....yes she is very sexy. i wish i could meet a girl like her.

  • i'm completely addicted to this song. can't stop listening...

  • I think She is my long lost mother =P Even though we are very close in age. Haha.

  • I love black people

  • got this off beastly.

  • i came here because of e-dubble, and stayed for the voice!

  • Beastly :')

  • Marry me, Regina.

  • The difference between Regina and many other female singers is she has music videos of her teaching black children, and most others have music videos of them standing around in a bikini looking "good". In my opinion, Regina is not only a better musician than other females, she is also more publicly a better person.

  • @MusikProductions123 so featuring black children makes her a better person?

  • @anncokafor No, not being a whore in her music videos and having a video of her being quite a friendly music teacher for children of a minority race simply makes me feel as though perhaps she might be just that little bit nicer.

  • I love the mentions of November Rain, i love that song, and this one!

  • regina i want you to be my music teacher

  • Bobby Duque sent me here!!!

  • thumbs up for russians

  • @iamsteffnotjeff She is Russian though. She was born and raised in Russia untill she was 9. She is Jewish too, but she is also Russian.

  • This video is just as weird as she is. I love it.

  • I feel bad we for the kids because we dont get to here them play the instruments. the end is cute though

  • I Freakin Love This Woman !!

  • someone elses heart

  • i have listened to her since i was little...haha <3

  • i like how everyone noticed all the kids are black but i bet they wouldnt have noticed if they were all white. racist bitches.

  • One of the little kids in this music video is the little black girl on the Disney show Jessie. Small world!

  • I heard this song in Beastly :)

  • its simple ... its incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is how it works

  • I will be so shocked if she isn't related in some way to Kat Dennings.

  • neden zenciLer ? :D

  • Beastly brought me here Refina Spektor keept me here!

  • @97eminem97 this song was in beastly? o.o

  • @AugustAndDanny yes it was

  • It keeps a lot of them motivated, distracts them from their lives, and gives them something for which to strive. When a lot of these kids grow up, they might get drawn into a life of crime in order to provide for themselves and their families, so music might give them another avenue in life. That being said, I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm simply trying to describe the realities of what some of these children go through. Don't be so hateful towards others just because of their skin color.

  • See this is exactly why were all black because your the RACIST ONES for commenting it... why does it matter ?

  • i am not at ALL trying to be RACIST, but the Majority off all the children are black... put some mexicans in there...or even some white kids..

  • Once you hear "On The Bradio", you'll never go back.

  • great song. came from e-dubble's freestyle fridays

  • Why are they all Black...?

  • "And walking arm in arm

You hope it don't get harmed"

I love it!! ♥ This song speaks to my heart

  • Those children are singing it wrong. Regina's lyrics clearly say BRADIO.

  • Those movings desks used to freak me out..... xD

  • I wanna marry you regina and let's make lotsa kids.lol

  • Love, life, and respect, not hatred.

  • i listened to this song 6 times in a row everyday and it still doesn't get old <3 ReSpekt!

  • wow why are they all black lol

  • This is ridiculious.. This music video is by no means racist, and the fact that it is under discussion is pure stupidity, and only racist through the thoughts of those that are racist themselves to think this to be racist. Listen to the lyrics.

  • Such a heartwarming song & video. <3 Really makes me feel the carefreeness of young childhood. BEAUTIFUL.

  • thumbs up if regina is sexy

  • Um, pretty sure the piano was invented by a white guy

  • Im In This video =D - But This Is When I Was 10 , Im The One With The Red Shirt With The Number On The Front .

  • @kidcasperondeck wow, you're one lucky guy! :D you're the one with clarinet, right? how did you get in this video?

  • @MeerweibMusik Her Mother Was My Music Teacher

  • Her hands are perfect. 1:44

  • This is how it works

    You're young until you're not

    You love until you don't

    You try until you can't

    You laugh until you cry

    You cry until you laugh

    And everyone must breathe

    Until their dying breath

I find no flaw in your logic regina

  • This is my favorite song of hers. Gives me goosebumps EVERY time. XD

  • Lols at the racist stuff here. OMG A JEW IS TEACHING BLACK KIDS. But all anyone sees is that she's white, and that she couldn't possibly receive discrimination enough to be over it and just want to share love and music.

  • When i'm listening Regina first time, i'm was like "omfg .. -.-" Now i like _this_ song :)

  • i wish regina spektor was my music teacher. i love her!

  • Beautiful song <3

  • I can't seem to find the message in this song, but knowing Regina I just haven't looked hard enough. It's bound to be something life changing!

  • Oh Regina, you're so beautiful. Inside and out.

  • Is it bad that this video is y i changed my mind from wanting to b a college professor to wanting to be an elementary school teacher

  • I don't like the video, but the song is really lovely!

  • there should be no hate on "race" because when it comes down to it, we are all human, we all bleed red, we all feel, there is no need to hate someone because of their skin tone or cultural traits, that was something man did a thousand years ago, it is now almost 2012 it is time we put that behind us and it will lead us to the right path for future generations

  • @101Jared I bleed green.

  • Regina come to Canada!!!!!

  • Man, what's the thing with race comments, I'm Mexican and I've known some americans that have taught me more than I could ever imagine, I've known african-americans that are some of the most important persons in my life... I have lebanese blood and I've been friends with Jews that could teach "love thy neighbor" to most of my local priests... f**k race and everything else... THIS SONG is a masterpiece

  • i love all her song

  • You take the things you like then try to love the things you took :)

  • Would leave the ones we love and never come again :) <3

  • check out our a cappella cover of On The Radio! /watch?v=J6Z35Q1tW9c&feature=related

  • Obviously, and if you really do listen to Regina Spektor, you can tell that one of her influences is Blues - which originated from the African Americans. It's really simple, the music video only shows that she is giving back what she'd learned from them. There are no racial issues here; It's all music.

  • *ignores everyone's discussion and dances around at "On The Radio"*

    :)

  • She looks especially beautiful in this video, I think.

  • That awkward moment when both of the top comments are in response to another comment that I'll never be able to find...

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 oh yeah. know the feeling...

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 Haha. Scouring the comments section myself. lol

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 Solution: Click see all comments. Hit CTRL+F (or COMMAND+F on Macs) type in or paste in username to whom the response was. The end.

  • @miceylulu actually... comment removed =(

    What did it saaay??!!

  • @Roxette12 There's no way to know after it has been removed.

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 I just copy the username they're replying to, hit "View All Comments", then Ctrl + F. Then I just paste that username I copied and keep hitting 'Next' until I find the comment.

That sounded like so much for effort than it really is. :|

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 not awkward. ctrl + f to find.

  • @BrooklynBabe1234 y you no make post on 9gag?

  • So much hate in the comment section. Very very sad. I don't see any of her videos being about hate. Regina- Your truly the most talented artist out there I know and your music truly is art. Your a beautiful person and your music is truly meaningful to me. Lots of compliments but thats just all I have for you. =)

  • I'm American, and I read the top comments when I got here. For most of the video, I thought it was just another stupid YouTube argument unrelated to the video. About 2 minutes in, I realized all the kids were black. The idea of races getting along in school like in this video was so familiar to me that I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't read the top comments. Most Americans are fat assholes, but some of us aren't.

  • but isn't Regina a Russian..? :) Spektor doesn't sound so american.. but none of it matters right? since regardless of race, its her music you were listenin while typing on the comment.. :D

  • bum ba bum ba bummm

  • LOVE thiss!

  • Regina is so modest about her talent.

  • Regina Spektor-

If you see this comment, I just want to tell you that you are the most talented artist ever! Your singing voice is amazing and I look up to you in so many ways! I'm your biggest fan, and I'm even singing your song "us" at a school assembly! Thank you for being the person you are!

  • The problem: There are black kids being taught how to play music by a white lady in a music video.

The solution: Argue about racism in the comment section.

The real solution: Shut up, listen to the song, then afterwards go hang out with your multiracial friends and say, "People as a whole are fucking stupid." They agree and then you make fun of your black friend for smelling like cocoa butter all the time and they say that they like your wet dog smell and you guys just won racism.

    The end.

  • @TheRagtagChicken i preetty much agree haha but how is "black kids being taught how to play music by a white lady in a music vid a problem" ?

  • @chattychipmonk I think you'll find there are so idiots going around on here saying, "Why do they need to be taught by a white chick? Why can't a black teacher teach them music just as well? ITS RACIST ITS RACIST SHE MUST DIE" or something similar. I really can't imagine how else it could be seen as problematic.

  • @chattychipmonk some idiots* Hooray for proofreading AFTER hitting "send".

  • @xXRubella666Xx :) come yourself haha. i was just replying that i don't think that a white girl teaching black kids is a problem... and nope i didnt find any coments like that cause i didn't really want to look for them...

  • @TheRagtagChicken

    I don't get it???......

  • e-dubble sent meh =)

  • i love this song.

  • UMMM why are the top comments NOT reguarding this beautiful song?! Cmon now people, stop arguing and listen to the song

  • We all live on the Earth together...so...Why differentiate at all? Nationality or Race?

    Hmph..Silly. We're all human..

  • Shut the fuck up everyone, who the fuck cares about race. i just wanna enjoy the song <3

  • beautiful lyrics... This is how it works It feels a little worse Than when we drove our hearse Right through that screaming crowd This is how it works You're young until you're not You love until you don't You try until you can't You laugh until you cry You cry until you laugh And everyone must breathe Until their dying breath .....<3 it
  • OMFG 0:00 - 0:28 Potter Puppet Pals!

  • People say Gaga and all that other tripe is good because of how they "break the mold," and go against contemporary norms to make new music... Compared to actual music, they're jokes. Compared to Regina Spektor, the joke isn't even funny.

  • This is how it works

    You're young until you're not

    You love until you don't

    You try until you can't

    You laugh until you cry

    You cry until you laugh

    And everyone must breathe

    Until their dying breath

    Beautiful <3

  • Ironically, even the assertion that this video is racist is a form of racism in itself in that the only thing society associates with black people nowadays is that they are victims of racism and the common stereotype of criminal activity.

  • DONT THUMBS UP THIS.

    I'm here for Regina,

I'm not for trash like Beastly.

I'm not here to discuss race.

  • @easyluckyfreeee you don't have to read the comments. Just listen to the song.

  • I don't know about you, but I Just see a music teacher and a classroom of children having fun.

I don't see WHITE TEACHER AND BLACK KIDS.

    Just

    a teacher and her students.

  • isn't being nice to african-american children a GOOD thing?

  • @theoccidentalrose Why does it matter?

Isn't being nice to EVERYONE, regardless of differences, a GOOD thing?

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of beastly <3

  • "You're young until you're not

    You love until you don't

    You try until you can't

    You laugh until you cry

    You cry until you laugh

    And everyone must breathe

    Until their dying breath"

This is the definition of truth and beauty.

  • WE LISTEN TO IT TWICE CAUSE THE DJ WAS ASLEEEEP.

  • BEASTLY(L)

  • aww man those kids are lucky

getting to chill with regina all day

    lol

  • lol I love dubstep and indie rock but every now and then I surf to regina spektor channel and enjoy good original music. hope she keeps what shes doing.

  • As much as I love Regina defying typical song structure, I am still furious that we don't get more of the AMAZING CHORUS!! :'O

  • I LOVE THIS!!! <3

  • How the fuck did we get talking about Austin Powers?

  • I want Regina to be my music teacher.

  • this is how it works... (:

  • crap, if she was my teacher, I so would not learn anything

  • Katy Perry will never fill those...ahem, shoes!

  • capris + heels + regina=YES

  • 121 people were in that screaming crowd

  • Regina <3

  • i didnt even think of race untill i read these comments. you people are jackasses. fuck-off and let me drool over regina's voice of an angel

  • LOL at people who are stupid enough as to believe someone as smart as Regina clearly is, is a racist. To shoot a video of yourself helping, entertaining and teaching the children of what is undoubtedly an impoverished people does not make you racist. To fail to notice that makes you a closed minded imbecile.

  • Why is every comment about "race"

Just shut up and enjoy the music yeah?

  • wish my school was like this, cause the only thing i hear during school is "faggot"

  • This may sound completely fucking random, but for some reason i always think regina looks an awful lot like maggie gyllynhal in this video specifically. anyone else see that? Regardless- SO GORGEOUS.

  • @BestRush33 Oh yeah! I kinda see it xD

  • She looks so much like my history teacher in this video. The only thing missing are the glasses.

  • I LOVE this song. But I have no idea what the deeper meaning is.

  • Exactly what i needed to hear right now..

  • I love this song so much, but am I the only one who thinks it sounds like 'On the Bradio?' :)

  • AMAZING LYRICS. Focus on that, not all the other petty crap you ppl are harping on about.

  • What if for just one day people didn't care about your looks or race and we could just come together and listen to music? so let us stop talking about skin and actually enjoy the music

  • guys

when regina first came to America ( from Russia , thought the Hebrew relocation program ) she went to school in the bronx , and so she did her music video there. Its not like her trying to look good for being nice to African american children . its about the school not about the skin colour of the kids

  • the girl in the pink at 2:36 is cool cause she plays the flute :) teehee. these kids are so lucky! getting to chill with Regina haha :P

  • She looks like Micah from WareHouse 13 in this video.

  • The kids are too cute! And the song is great! I have it stuck in my head!

  • FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG?!

  • @thedisbatcher why stupid ass name the disbatcher who think he just said something that will grow him a little dick why ???

  • Beautiful song, it gets stuck in my head throughout the day! Her voice is incredible, go Regina! :D

  • thank you so much regina, your music makes me so happy:))))

  • I had this song stuck in my head during lunch. I just had to listen to it. X3

  • Those kindergarten kids are cuter than shit.

  • hannahappy2 is right

  • No, this is how it works You peer inside yourself You take the things you like And try to love the things you took And then you take that love you made And stick it into some Someone else's heart Pumping someone else's blood And walking arm in arm You hope it don't get harmed But even if it does You'll just do it all again

  • @darthdarthjavier but dude, hitler loved dogs!

  • @darthdarthjavier Not all Americans are racist, never forget that. Just because there's one really loud guy who isn't tolerant of others doesn't mean the rest of us are the same. But then again.. we do seem to have a certain affinity for gaining attention when it comes to racism.

  • @darthdarthjavier you're just as bad when you generalize Americans, is that not a form of bias and prejudice? Think about it.

  • @darthdarthjavier since when are americans the only people preoccupied with race? i (an american) agree with you that race shouldn't be important, but i can't see why you're singling americans out in particular (which is a form of prejudice in an of itself, is it not?) when every country on the face of the earth, sadly, has issues with racism.
