the funniest day of my life when i seen a bunch of people doing this earlyer in the day past me pissed me off. then a hour later i gave an open door salute to the first bike then his buddy behind him crashed into him while i was at a stop light. told the cop i was mmy door was slightly open so i was going to close all the way then thier bikes rammed by drivers side door. end of my story thier insurance payed for my door and they had about 3500-4000 dollers worth of repairs to make :)

@Dexi Actually, 500 lbs of metal, mass-centralized to a space 1.5 feet wide can in fact tear through a car. It depends on speed, but these guys are going plenty fast to potentially kill someone if they hit a car the right (er, wrong) way.

I've seen many people get laid out because they're lane splitting and/or riding like a moron and not wearing gear. People see riders like the guys in this video and then stereotype every rider as a total jackass, which is why a lot of vehicles will intentionally block lane splitters and put us riders in danger.

In addition to riding like idiots, they're not wearing protective gear (other than a helmet). I understand the passion of bikes, however you don't know how many bikers come in, and have seriously messed up their lives because of something they were doing that wasn't as safe as it could've been. Dude i'm gonna back you up. Nice riding although how you were doing it may have been illegal, it looked like hell of a fun time and I saw a lot of skill. Great way to stay focused. In Europe this is very legal and even encouraged. Only way you could get hurt is if some idiot changes lanes without looking and that probably wouldn't happen. If it does it's there fault. Skill or no skill, eventually somebody will be changing lanes suddenly and u will be in their blind spot and it should not be their fault that you want to drive like greased lightning. My sympathy therefore goes to the person whose car crushes your spine because of the disaster you will cause. Obviously you don't know california roads. EVERY biker eventually lays it down on the freeway and ends up in the emergency room/morgue.

Even striking an average size animal can cause immense damage to a vehicle, let alone a speeding motorcycle striking a vehicle moving at or even below the speed limit. (which is not realistic, most people speed anyways.) Go to documentingreality and look up "Shocking Motorcycle Accident", you'll see what a bike can do to a car. @MediPup I'm totally with you guys on these issues, although it was pretty cool how they were safe in the end, its really dangerous for them to be going at high speed, lane splitting, and not full protective gears on, one day they'll learn from a crash or fall.(look at those safe bikers that they passed)

the funniest day of my life when i seen a bunch of people doing this earlyer in the day past me pissed me off. then a hour later i gave an open door salute to the first bike then his buddy behind him crashed into him while i was at a stop light. told the cop i was mmy door was slightly open so i was going to close all the way then thier bikes rammed by drivers side door. end of my story thier insurance payed for my door and they had about 3500-4000 dollers worth of repairs to make :)
